Decent's Platinum Arena Decks

[Decent]

So I've been playing Plat for a while now, but I figured it's time to make a thread - mainly to keep track and remember all my failed decks

Wouldn't necessarily recommend using any of these decks as reference, unless it's to learn exactly what to avoid doing in Elements.

Feel free to suggest any tips or improvements on any of the decks, I would certainly appreciate it

Standard Mono dark denial. Deck peaked at rank 13. Sadly, I collected my electrum without thinking, so the thumbs up / down is skewed as well.

Other than that, looking forward to any comments, suggestions, or critiques to improve

Note, I'm no expert on mono darks in or out of the arena. In my opinion cloak is a sub optimal card for arena mono dark. Don't ask me to step by step prove why because I'm not someone who can do that well. If you want me to try anyways read the spoiler. I would put 1 eclipse not 2 because reasons. (read spoiler number two) If you do both of these and replace the cards with pillars slash towers the deck becomes quantum flooded so replace like 3 pillars/towers with drain lifes.

Other cards are better to be put simply. It wheres off, the effect isn't super good with this type of deck (I doubt it would better defend the deck against whatever beats platinum arena mono dark) and instead of having it in the decks hand where much of the time it's not really useful more control is useful in a vast number of situations.

Spoiler for Why 1 eclipse:

The effect is not good enough in this particular deck (vampire mono darks benefit much more from eclipse) to risk drawing a second one instead of more control or more quantum if the deck has a proper quantum balance. Plus when it is drawn it may be a dead card for a couple turns while quantum is spent on dragons for faster damage or if the ai plays it a dragon may come a turn later. I think some people don't use eclipse at all in dragon mono darks.

If you are using devs, you don't need as much quanta. So maybe for that deck:
-1 cloak
-1 steal
-1 eclipse
-1 tower, 1 pend

+1 dusk
+4 siphon life.

or, if you want to go the stall route, using Sov's is quite nice - works well with devs, Sov, Siphons, vagger and vampires, with eclipse and steals.

Out of dragon or vampire decks I don't think one deck is better (maybe one is I don't know) but vampire decks probably have to be built differently to be as effective as dragon based decks.

Both dragon and vampire mono darks can reach rank 1 if built right and with enough plays I think. From what I've seen the dragon (and maybe other dark creatures if you're a good deckbuilder) version gets rank 1 more than vampires on there own. However, Shard of Void decks with pests, plenty of control/good darkness cards and a few vampires is an incredibly good deck.

This deck was pretty decent. Capped off at about rank 18. Any thoughts? (I'd probably replace the cloak if I were to build it again xP )

Use lots of abyss crawlers if you have them. Since that deck only had 21 upgraded cards in it you should have put the max upgrade cap at 30 cards instead of 60 so you have 4 more points for more health or even set the max upgrade cap at 20 (upgrade something so it has 20 upgraded cards), give the deck triple mark, and have 3 more points for hp.

Also use this stat point distribution logic for your mono dark deck. I didn't notice the 60 card upgrade limit for that deck until now.

I did have a question, do you upgrade cards just for building your arena deck? Or do you just build the deck from the cards you have?

Before I had Basic Edition I wouldn't upgrade cards just for arena decks except a few times when I just upgraded a couple cards which were important to be upgraded.
