It seems like a lot of my thumbs ups end up equal to the number of losses... I suspect that it's a mathematical artifact of how rating is calculated.  If I knew the rating formula I could probably show that... in any event, just something I've noticed a lot, and wanted to mention it's not a mistake on my part :p

I'm not really sure why I built the deck that I did here.  I knew that I wanted to try shard of patience with the quinted nymphs, and after that, I guess ulitharids seemed a natural fit.  A cheap creature with a strong ability to make use of the extra water quanta.  Then I tossed in the phase shields, which seemed to be a good fit with the waiting induced by shard of patience.  Phase shield for 3 turns, and while that's up, all the creatures got +6/+6 :p  Due to my n00b days, I have that one upped aether nymph, my 2nd nymph ever, so I put that in here as well, just because.

Today's card, as is evidenced above, is light nymph.  Oracle has been making up for slacking so hard the last several months.  I think the other time I got light nymph I did a hope deck with mummies and skeletons, that was strangely thumbed down, due to the apparent prevalence of luciskeletons... well, whatever.  I'll try to come up with something even cleverererererer this time.

I didn't expect too many wins from this deck, but I expected a lot of thumbs ups.  The synergies between all these cards is so good that I thought people would appreciate how cool the deck is, but apparently it was not to be.  The light nymphs work nicely with the shards of divinity, healing past max life.  The green nymphs give adrenaline to everything, and note that -everything- is at a 'sweet spot' for adrenaline.  Light nymph has 7 attack, green nymph has 3 attack, and a crusader endowed with jade staff has 7 attack and regenerate.  Bonds/mitosis have obvious synergy, and (unupped) thorn carapace works well with all the healing, eventually killing anything short of momentum or quint/SoW creatures.

Today's card is devourer.  I'm hoping that the three people who thumbed this beautiful deck down have to go against my devourer deck :p  (since most people seem to hate monodark in the arena)  However, I'm not actually going to do monodark; I'll try to come up with something more clever than that.  How I am going to do something with devourer that will earn thumbs ups, I have no idea yet, but hopefully I'll find something.

Edit: I have truly outdone myself with this devourer deck :p  I'm really hoping this will be the one devourer deck ever that gets thumbs ups.  It is a seven element deck that does not use nova, immolation, or quantum tower.

Today's card is catapult.  That's a tough one, and I already used a voodoo doll catapult/denial deck awhile back... maybe I'll just use titans, shards of focus, and amber nymphs and make a pseudofarm :p

This wasn't particularly inventive, but seeing as shard of freedom/sky blitz are not normally used with flying overdriven titans, it's hopefully unique enough.

Today's card is entropy pendulum.  I'm going to use a variant of a deck treebeard xiii showed me one time which I thought was rather interesting.

Hmm... I was hoping for more thumbs up from that one.  Alas.  I'd thought about using unupped rage potions so that they could be put on the dragons if needed, but I didn't really trust the AI to know when to use them for CC and when to use them for attack :p

Today's card is steam machine.  That's always been one of my favourite creatures, so I'll try to do something extra cool.  I have an interesting idea for it, but it will need at least a trio.  Water/fire for the machines, and then a third element for healing, so that the deck can stall until the machines get -really- big

This deck was another victim of the 'but it started off SO WELL...' :p  Went something 7-1 on day 0, then something like 7-2 on day 2, and then... splat :p  I'd been hoping for more thumbs up than I got, though... I don't remember ever seeing this deck in the arena before.  The basic idea was to stall with the healing and bolts until the machines got too big to handle.  However, in adding so many lances, I think that people might've felt more like it was a direct damage deck with steam machines and healing added in, rather than a steam machine deck with CC and healing on the side, which may have contributed to the deck getting rated lower than I would have expected.

Today's card is boneyard.  I saw a really hilarious death effects deck last week in the arena (using aflatoxin as oracle card) and I am going to try and emulate that as much as possible.  I would have thumbed that deck up if I hadn't beaten it :p  Hopefully I can find a way to make it more survivable.

This was much like a deck I saw in the arena recently, only that player used air and thunderstorm instead, and had no SoSa that I know of.  It didn't do very well... but at least it was cool :p  The deck actually dropped out of plat at age 1 instead of 2, but I spun boneyard again when it dropped out, so I couldn't replace it until now.  Today's card is lycanthrope.

(edit: because someone at imageshack apparently decided that deck image was inappropriate or something, so they removed it... fortunately, it was still on my desktop, so... reuploaded)

This deck was fairly successful in terms of win/loss, but a failure in terms of creativity, since it got very few thumbs ups.  I just got my own deck in plat arena a few minutes ago, and discovered that it has WAY too many darkness towers in it.  (but it beat my pdials anyway :p)  Still, it managed to do fairly well in spite of that; it would have done better had I realized this fact six days ago   The basic idea should be fairly obvious; I was hoping the AI would chaos power the vampires, but in the arena game I mentioned above, it played them on maxwell's demon instead

I'm taking the deck down early because at 6 days old, it's only going down in rank, and also because it's clear that the deck isn't very well liked by the community with that low thumbs up ratio.  My card today is dagger, and I'll make a deck with that, and since the oracle spins in a half hour, I'll see if i get something more interesting than dagger.  Odds are unless it's a nymph, I'll stick with the dagger, because I've got a fantastic idea for it, that if nothing else, will make people laugh :p  I think it might actually win a few games, too, but we'll see...

Apparently aether mark dirk using decks that can generate 40 attack flying free dirks are so common that most of you couldn't be bothered to thumb it up... yeah, that must be it... :p  I expected this to get thumbs ups through the roof, but I guess the silences annoyed people too much.  It's too bad; this was one of my more creative decks in this thread, but only 25% of the players liked it.  I'd like to think that had it gotten more plays, it would have gotten a better thumbs up ratio, and that this is just due to small sample size.

Today's card is dimensional shield.  Not many people are a fan of that one... I'll try to do something unorthodox and hope it's appreciated.

My goal here was to build a dark/aether duo that did not use a) immortal/SoW, b) pestal, c) vampires.  The combination of SoV/silence was intended to buy more time for the void shards to do their thing, while the 6 siphons/bolts would take care of creatures, as well as provide a finisher once the void shards worked long enough.  It seems it wasn't particularly popular anyway, since it still had a few hated cards (dimshield, silence, SoV), but it did better in terms of thumbs up ratio than probably any other dark/aether duo would have.

Today's card is shield.  That gives me quite a bit of freedom to find something clever to do, since I can do any element or combination thereof.  I'll try to make something extra cool... :p
