It started off alright, but that might've been luck; it seemed to do worse the last 2 days, and I doubt -16hp changed its performance much, when it has all that healing anyway, and started at 195.

Gonna try building around Dark Pendulum now, and if it bombs in the next 2 hours, I'll either change it or use the new card from the oracle then.
edit: The dark pendulum deck got 0 plays in 2 hours, so I'm not listing it.  I changed it to use Electrum Hourglass when the oracle gave me that.  The first deck went 4-3 last night; it was a rainbow deck with lots of stall/control cards and phase dragons/pulvy for damage, but it only went 4-3 so I scrapped it and make a gotp/nightmare just now.

GotP/nightmare is boring, and I spun a Phoenix, so I'm definitely changing it up tonight even though it's just been 1 day.  This one should do pretty good

edit: Phoenix deck went 10-0 the first day; pretty happy about that   Spun Spark, and I'm skipping that one.
edit: Skipped bone pillar yesterday (no good death cards upgraded here) and got obsidian pillar today.  Phoenix deck is 21-0 so I'm leaving it up for another day
edit: the cheap phoenix deck is up to 29-1 (sad days! someone finally beat it!) and I spun a nova today.  Not that supernova weenie is any less cheap than monofire gayness... not sure whether I'll change it yet.  I kinda want to get the deck up in rank, and it won't do that if I change it, so I'll probably leave it alone.  It's at something like rank 35 atm.

Pretty happy with this deck's record; it was my best performance since my bone dragon immosoulcatcher deck.  It was 28-0 at one point, and rank 25 at its highest.  Mind you, with phoenix as the card, it's not hard to do well.



Yeah, yeah, boring, unimaginative, but I made 450 electrum on it so stfu :p

Skipped gravity shield yesterday as my card, and today I got Quantum Pillar, and seeing as my age is 6 and that's -64 hp, and qp is a great card to use, I'm making a new deck.  I might try something imaginative and fun, rather than a supernova speed deck or some other done-to-death arena deck.  I got level 66 during this deck's run, so I get that extra point to spend on design as well

edit: The last two days I got Spark and Virus, so I skipped those.  Today I got Toadfish for a card, which isn't bad, but I think it would be hard to make an arena deck based around it.  For one, I don't have very many good upped water cards, and water takes more skill to play than, say, fire, so the AI won't be as strong with it.  Plus, since the unupped and upped toadfish are completely different cards, it would be hard to make a deck around it unless it had either 0 wisdom (no upgrades) or 60 wisdom (detracting from my hp or mark) so I think I'll skip that one, too.  The quantum tower deck I built is 25-3.  I didn't follow through with my promise of a creative deck, instead making what I think of as the 'I'm an asshole ' rainbow deck... you've seen it in arena before; it's the one full of all the most annoying cards of the various elements

Slightly off-topic, but it's a personal best.  Achieved using 500EM stall deck vs Chemos, who was rank #11 after the defeat; not sure about before.  I actually killed him with damage, rather than by decking him, by mindgating his fahrenheit and 5x fire lances that I used to OTK him at the end :p

The quantum tower deck has served me well, but at 52hp remaining, it's time to change, no matter what card I got.  Fortunately, I got Crusader, so that's not too bad at all.  I skipped aether pillar and I think dark pendulum, then got quantum pillar again yesterday. (meaning I couldn't change the deck!)  So, here are the stats and deck for this run:

180hp, 60 wisdom, 2x card draw, 2x mark
Oracle Card: QUANTUM PILLAR
wins: 43 losses: 6 rank: 48 rating: 319 age: 7 (highest rank was in the 20s somewhere)

On a slightly bitter note, I noticed that the #1 deck at this time was only 1 day older yet had over *100* plays    At least I gave him one of his losses

I didn't think this would be good, but I didn't think it would be quite that bad!  It's actually a good thing I only got 5 plays with it :p  Next card is Abomination...

edit: The abomination deck was 2-1 the first day, and I almost gave it up in favour of death pendulum, but I decided to give it another chance.  I'm glad I did, since now it is 10-1.  Tonight I spun my first nymph for quite awhile, but I don't think I can make a deck out of it.  (water one)  I'm always happy to see a nymph, but I have nine nymphs now but only 5 unique ones (3x red, 2x purple, 1x aether, 1x life, and now 2x water) and I was kinda hoping the next one would be one I didn't have.  (hi gravity and time)  Incidentally, I think this is also a gold record for me from the oracle.



edit: last two days I skipped Death Pendulum (I don't really like the death element) and Thunderstorm (one of the worst cards in the game)  Up to 28-4 with Abomination :p

Skipped Eternity yesterday, though that would have been a good one to use.  Got Lava Golem today so I'm going to use that.

I decided to just build a discord/black hole deck around abomination, and since most of them were micros, threw in some butterfly effects for them.  It seemed to do pretty well, even with very few sources of damage; the black hole/discord/butterfly must have locked most people down pretty good.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my golem deck sucked, and I got dune scorpion tonight, and that usually does pretty well in arena, and I have the upped cards to make use of it, so I'm switching.

I'm pretty disappointed in how it performed.  It's pretty much the standard faggy destroyer deck that comprises a large percentage of the arena, only I threw in quicksands to be even more annoying, and a random dragon for the heck of it.

- Quicksands aren't really needed since you're rushing your opponent in 4-7 turns anyway. There's no real need to slow your opponent down with this deck.
- Explosions are good, but 12 is a few to many imo. 8 Explosions is more then enough for this deck.
- Rather add some damage with a fahrenheit or more Fire Lances.
- Rage pots for CC or to pump big golems damage.
- 3x mark...

Own fault for picking a lame deck though. Would have given -rep if it was possible!

You've only been punished by the Gods for using Immorush. Just be creative and your arena deck will prosper.
