This deck did surprisingly well in terms of win/loss ratio, but surprisingly poorly in terms of thumbs up ratio.  I only got 14 thumbs ups, which means that it was 28% thumbs ups.  This is 1% *LESS* than the deck I made to specifically get the least number of thumbs ups possible two posts ago!  Go figure...

Today's card is lightning.  I've had that one a couple times already.  One I did flayer fractal, another I think I did frog fractal, and I've done speedbow as well.  I also did a neat anubis deck with it once.  Time for something else... dunno what yet.

I was away out of town until Friday, and when I got back, my computer decided to break, so I have no idea how long this deck survived, but based on the fact that it got 49 plays, I'd estimate about 6 days.  This deck received 11 thumbs ups, which to me seems very low, since this is a very unusual deck.  It also seems odd that it won so many games, but I guess I won't complain about that :p

Today's card is deathstalker.  That's quite a narrow card, as it necessarily requires one or more of a very few cards to even be usable, but I'll try to find something unique to do with it.

This was a fairly typical deathstalker eclipse deck, but I threw in the SoVs, since one of poison's major weaknesses is healing.  It performed roughly about as well as I thought it would.  The real surprise was that it only got 3/17 thumbs ups; my sosa physalia sofo deck that I built purposely to piss people off got 29% thumbs ups, while this got 17%.  I'd say it's because people hate poison, but so did that overused physalia deck, and it had sosa and sofo, the two most hated cards in the game.

Today's card is chimera.  I can't think of too much to do with that, but one idea did come to mind that might manage to win a game or two, so I'm going with that.

My reasoning behind designng this deck was based around a few things:
1) A 60 card deck of any sort will dilute the ratio of chimeras in the deck.  This is a good thing, since 10 chimeras is way too many for any deck.
2) Scarab spam isn't a terrible strategy, and lots of big scarabs means a chimera with a crapton of hp.
3) Shards of Focus also have lots of hp for chimeras.
4) Trebuchets are useful with high hp creatures, like 31hp SoFs, big scarabs, and gigantic chimeras.
5) SoR is good on every creature in the deck, except SoF. (and chimera, but if the AI plays that, it's playing it to win usually)
6) Fat decks like hourglasses.  They also like nymphs with hourglass figures (or precog :p) a.k.a. golden nymph
7) Black holes to stall so that maybe the deck can actually get going.

I thought it was a rather interesting and clever way to use chimera as an oracle card.  Two of you thought black hole spam was bloody annoying and thumbed it down :p

Today's card is antlion.  I did fractal antlion awhile ago, so I'll try something else.  If the AI would ever unburrow things, an SoP deck would be my first choice, but since it doesn't, I'll try something else.

I got a really unoriginal phys poison deck in arena right now and so far 7/7 thumbs down… That got me thinking though; your test wasn't really viable since the point of it was to find out whether people would simply thumbs down because of frustration, as your deck was both frustrating to play against AND unoriginal. This doesn't really show any correlation to why people generally thumbs down.
I, however, did have a deck up about 2 weeks ago which was both VERY original and frustrating to play against (Earthquake is painful XD). Even though it didn't do too well, the whopping 19 plays it did manage to get only got 2 thumbs up. It's also a little bias to then assume people do generally thumbs down against frustrating decks even though they are nicely assembled and original, but this isn't the only time I've noticed this

This one wasn't particularly imaginative, but it is probably unique.  (in other words, it sucks :p)  My reasoning behind this one is that since the AI always burrows antlions ASAP, that I would make a deck to actually take advantage of this.  The antlions would presumably burrow and be unkillable short of damage shields, while everything else in the deck stalled long enough for either the antlions to make their kill or for the player to run out of cards.  Morning glory also fit the theme, since it's indestructible as well.  There was no real need to include the unupped mark of light except for style points, and the fact that I used every upped earth pend I own, but wanted one more quanta source.  The deck got 7/15 thumbs ups, which is almost half.  Not bad, and better than many of the decks I've had lately.

Today's card is lightning.  I've had that card quite a few times, including just last week, so I'm not really sure what to do with it that is unique, doesn't suck, and hasn't already been done in this thread.

This deck will probably get knocked out of plat while I'm at work, so I'll replace it now.  I apologize for the fact that it wasn't particularly creative, but I've had lightning as a card so many times that I simply had no more good creative ideas for it.  I only got 13/58 thumbs ups, but with all those black holes, it's hardly surprising.

Today's card is forest spirit.  I know I've done a duo with that before, maybe even twice (I think I did one life mark and one water mark) and I might've even done a speedbow with that.  I've got an idea for a 60 card deck that should be interesting, though.  It's based on the rainbow FG deck, except better

13/38 thumbs ups.  Basically, for this deck, I took a look at FG: Rainbow, and thought, what cards would make his deck better?  I tried to pick cards that fit the holes in his deck, and take out the ones that weren't as effective for him.  (particularly his excess of quanta lategame, hence all the cards with activation costs and the diss field)  The result seemed to do reasonably well, and slightly more than a third of you liked the result.

This deck got 13/46 thumbs ups.  It started wtih like 0-6, and I was very confused at first.  I can only conclude that everybody else is running OP elite skeleton hope decks in plat, that they are roflstomping everyone, and that I haven't encountered any of them.  I mean, come on, using 6 elite skeletons when it's not your oracle card has to be worth a thumbs up almost without regard to the rest of the deck :p  No shards, either.  Oh, well, at least it had a decent run at 5 days, but I was expecting over 50% thumbs ups due to the uniqueness, and it would've made it at least another day if it had gotten them.

Today's card is hammer.  Using the search, the one time I had this card before I ran a monoearth stall thing with some dragons and flying gavels as the damage dealers.  As I mentioned in that post, cremation rush (earth mark), monogravity BH spam, and monoother shard/gavelspam are usually what people do with that card, mostly because those are just about the only other viable choices.  I've got a bit of a whacky idea this time... it will probably bomb but it should earn a ton of thumbs ups.
