Title: serprex
Post by: serprex on October 18, 2013, 08:03:33 pm
Most people make these threads to display their creative deck building, and archive what decks they've used in the past. I'm only doing this for the latter point
I've been given one vote of confidence in maintaining this thread. I don't need a lot of confidence to do stuff
I have no intent to do anything original. I'll mostly be posting SN Control decks
I'm too lazy to track stats. I may start doing that, potentially coming to optimize a good "ignore your oracle card" SN bow
Presently all decks will be my boring Level 66 upgrades: 200hp, 30 ups, double mark, double draw

Taking down 9-1 Fire Spirit deck because Oracle drew my favorite card. Another reason to not take stats: I change arena deck too often to take large enough sample sizes
I just love making boring SN Control decks so much I can't resist updating
Going to not include mark in screenshot when it's obviously :entropy

I'll take that as a second vote of confidence

Decided to take Pandemonium down when it took a second loss after going 29-1. Got as high as Rank 9
(http://i.imgur.com/oXQYjHs.png)
I could say I had trouble thinking up what to do with Abyss Crawler. But who am I kidding?
Flaw in my design: double draw means there's 8 Dry Spells, and 8>6, unlike 4 being <6

Nice fast start man, played your deck with PDials, but you got a discord out on the first turn. Spoiler for pic.

I'm sorry you have to experience Plat. Cheers for enduring Discockhole

edit no need to make a new post
15-1 Discockhole into Toadfish. Unfortuantely whenever I see Pufferfish all I can think is "Adrenaline that thing" so no SN Control again

edit -queen +purify because AI doesn't know to play adrenal staves vs PDials

Posting to keep track. Fun builds, serprex.
Title: Re: serprex

Last fun build has poor balance and went 0-2. 3 attack for 5 cost doesn't belong in a rush
(http://i.imgur.com/cjIY3Rd.png)
Might as well use the Giant Frogs I upped for this week's tourney. Oracle trolling: my pet is rustler, and the game which knocked me out was a rustler fractal deck against no CC which I lost because I bottom decked 7 creatures. Admittedly the deck should've failed to draw 1 of the 3 rustlers or 1 of 3 fractals. But instead it decided to draw everything but creatures. I should've kept to 8 light quanta and gone heavy on creatures, with 4 Leaf Dragons and 4 Fractals
Title: Re: serprex
Post by: serprex on October 28, 2013, 03:16:49 pm
Life pends went 14-3. Guess Giant Frogs aren't as OP as I'd hoped. I thought RT and Pande would do well vs Swallow, but I don't test so maybe AI's dumb and RT's half grown SoFos. Or I'm dumb and don't know how to counter Swallow with double draw on my side. Also should've gone 4 Discords given 35 card deck
(http://i.imgur.com/KFJUe4l.png)
Nymphs are annoying to make arena decks for. Too expensive for SN decks. This deck will likely do awful since I assume the AI doesn't know to cast antimatter on itself when facing PDials, & it also doesn't hold TU while SoSa is in effect
Title: Re: serprex

2-3 Nymph forces me to take on RoL
(http://i.imgur.com/0uKDazA.png)
Lack of :light makes this not stand up to PDials like Divine Glory

& another nymph. Why can't this happen when I don't have something falling out of T500 at 6-3?
So SN Control is out. Usual Dark/Earth Devquake or Liquid Antimatter? Pretty sure AI doesn't know to chaos power opponent's creatures before laying combo down, so the former
(http://i.imgur.com/0RfzXvK.png)
I didn't have enough Obsidian Pillars or Steel Golems to do a good Dark/Earth
Title: Re: serprex

Nymph was 3-0 or 4-0 and then it lost 3 games & was out
(http://i.imgur.com/WRn2Z58.png)
The problem with Salvagers is Steal doesn't proc. So dials. Probably needs a 3rd Arsenic

3-3. Thought Poison Salvage would do worse given its bad start. & now Oracle gives me Dagger

Dagger survived long enough to let me skip Skeleton... & get Antlion. But this is upped, so should be alright

One may argue that there's no synergy given the lack of vanilla creatures. But let's be honest: the only good vanilla creatures are in PCless elements. So instead there's Cremation's synergy with Other cost (ignoring Pulverizer because I only have 1 Steel Golem)

Title: Re: serprex

Glorymonium was 3-2, making me wonder if I really have no clue about Plat farm meta (Pande kills SoFr, Swallow has no food, purifies vs PDials, shield bypass kills RoL/Hope (nevermind pande)) but then it ended up being 39-3 yesterday, and 45-4 when I woke up. Now it hit 46-5 so I'll take it down now that it has no hope of getting past its peak of Rank 15

I have the most trouble with making Fire decks. Too many options

Pugons went 13-2, didn't expect that. But SN control splash works wonders (too bad it didn't in my last war match...)
Antlion again. I was going to say "Today I do silent anal" but AI sucks at Fractal, so needs hard counter vs RoL/Hope. AI also doesn't know how to unburrow
(http://i.imgur.com/u9G2pXh.png)
So instead of "Fractal anything is viable" it's "Monium anything is viable" (Glorytal ain't viable)

FFQ went 0-2 & out, so Oracle decides to punish my farm with Shield. Leaning towards a big deck to dilute 5 shields. Went 60 ups, 190hp
Part of me wants to do PU+Overdrive+SoFr Massive Dragons. But I've been losing sight of what this thread is about: SN Control

6-4. I was going to post an SN Control with only 3 Discords for Amber Nymph deck last night when it was 6-3, but my internet access dropped
(http://i.imgur.com/cyav4t7.png)
I tried an immo rush with PAs vs Jezebel. Unfortunately I made two misplays: didn't PA their water tower, so they got one Nymph queen, didn't explode their vampire dagger before they cloaked. I blame misplays on playing random decks first thing in the morning. I had a headache when I woke up today. I don't usually get headaches. When I do, they're on the left side of my head by my benign tumor. Bottom decking all but one Lava Destroyer didn't help (I had hoped to rush those out to overwhelm Siphon Life)
Title: Re: serprex
Post by: serprex on November 24, 2013, 04:42:08 pm
Was 5-3, then went on to 9-3. But I was eager to switch because I want to extract the deck code from the arena submission, so won't get to see if it was bad luck to start or good luck to end
Virus
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
712 712 712 712 52i 52o 52o 61q 61q 710 710 710 710 710 710 710 710 718 718 718 718 71a 71a 71a 71b 71b 71b 71u 71u 71u 7n2 80a 80a 80a 80a

Was considering SoFr arsenic, but was meh (Virus should be airborne). Hopefully AI isn't stupid enough to SoSa into BW

Anyways, about that deck code extraction, the POST to t503 after submission contains a deck param. Converted with
Code: [Select]
<body>
<script type="text/javascript">
var cards=prompt("","");
if (cards != null){
var out="";
for(var i=0;i<cards.length;i+=4){
out+=(parseInt(cards.substring(i,i+4),10)+5000).toString(32)+" ";
}
document.body.innerHTML=out;
}
</script>
</body>
Unfortunately anti decided that [ deck ] should sort cards, so oracle doesn't appear as first 5 cards. Also mark isn't contained in deck param, it's passed as a separate element param. Oh well, I wasn't screenshotting mark anyways
Title: Re: serprex

Unfortunately anti decided that [ deck ] should sort cards

Actually, I got angry people telling me it wasn't auto sorting. I can look into figuring out a better method for all this.

Also, you should post your JavaScript using JSFiddle so that people can use it right away:
http://dek.im/arena

Edit: Updated the JSFiddle to be more user friendly

First I had a SoFr bow. But it didn't feel like it'd hold against Swallow. Then I decided to make use of the scarabs I upped for last week's tourney. I'm curious to see if plain scarabs are OP when mixed with double draw

I just meant for the deck code
Title: Re: serprex
Post by: serprex on November 28, 2013, 04:15:21 pm
I don't like the amount of space the oracle card takes up on the left with the arena deck generator. Much prefer as deck title. But people enjoy the former method, so all well for them. With auto sorting not happening the oracle card is clear enough from the deck. Same goes for why my decks don't include mark. I only included the Fire mark on my last immorush because an earlier version had Lava Destroyers which may've made it non trivial whether the mark was Earth or Fire
Anyways, 8-2 yesterday, 12-3 today. So plain RT SoPa Scarabs have a stable 80% winrate (Some might argue that plain wouldn't have random Heavy Armors splashed in, but I disagree)
Oracle gave me Fire Pend second day in a row, so I'll take the hint. All I can think to do are giant CC bonewall stalls

You do realize that it outputs two separate choices, right? There is the deck code, and then the whole formatted thing. If you just copy the deck code, you're all set. And it includes the mark. And then you're all happy.

I made 2 decks which I didn't post here prior to this: a vagger mono dark where I click spamed on upped pillars until they were gone & kept clicking there until I had 35 cards (Reached T10) & deja running Jen-i's Quadruple Machine Gun Redux +purify which did well but is fragile as advertised
