Hey all. Been thinking about starting one of these threads of my own for quite a while now. I'm well aware that everyone and their mums has one at this point, but I'd really like a place of my own to share my success stories and track my progress!

I try to make my decks as creative as possible, often experimenting with unusual duos or trios - I try to use my Oracle cards in unconventional ways, in hope that I'll come across an unexpected and successful synergy.

On the fateful evening that the mighty Team Entropy was eliminated from War #8, I pulled Nightmare from the Oracle. Instead of building a run-of-the-mill Ghostmare, or a typical mono Darkness deck, I built an Entropy/Dark Domin to honour my fallen comrades.

It's by no means my most successful arena deck, and it didn't seem like the Platinum-farming crowd liked it much at all - but it made it to 8 days, and I figured it would be a good place to start my own progress thread.

Looking forward to posting more of my decks in here. See you all around!

Alright, so... I pulled Titanium Shield. I figured the most obvious option was to make Immortal, add in a bunch of Miracles and Stone Skins and call it a day. I didn't want to do that.

I also thought about building a Water duo, adding Tridents and Animate Weapons, and building a stall with a bunch of defense, denial, and control. I didn't want to do this either.

Instead, I decided to go the complete opposite route, and build a Destroyer rush deck. With some help from worldwideweb3, I came up with something I was really happy with. I got 3 ttw'd by this deck several times in testing.

While it has gone 4-0, it's taken 3 days already to get there, and I don't like that at all in terms of my deck's long-term prospects. I got Hammer from the Oracle today, so I think I'm gonna do a wee bit of tuning, and submit a similar deck to give it a better chance of reaching a high rank.

Alrighty.

This actually didn't do as well as I thought it would - I don't mean to sound cocky or ungrateful by saying that, I am very impressed with the number of wins and the amount of electrum I made from this deck, but the way it started off I expected it to make it into the top 10 quite early. Unfortunately, it spent most of its time hovering just outside the rank 25 mark. Was quite disheartening to see it drop from 23-3 to 24-6 in a single night.

I saw it make it into the top 15 once, and it reached 17-1 before it started collecting more losses. Regardless, it made it to 8 days, I am pleased with the way the deck worked, and I'm happy to call this one a success.

Damage came out extremely fast, but I think the lack of control was my downfall. A single copy of Purify may not have been enough to effectively counter PDials at the later ages (7, possibly even 6 days.) I thought long and hard about adding one or two Fire Storms as a mass control card - eventually decided against it, in favour of more speed and damage, but I think next time I'll add them in and see how it goes.

Next up is a card I'm not really looking forward to building with, but I'll put something up regardless while I wait for a more exciting card.

This did okay. Gutted that it didn't quite make it to 8 days. Started off at 11-0 but quickly picked up more losses after that.

Will wait for the Oracle prediction tonight before posting a new deck.

Cheers montrossen :) I didn't want to build a mono-aether, but because of the high cost of upgraded Immortals, I couldn't really use them in an expensive duo. Their immaterial nature meant I could use unupped Pandemoniums without the drawback of the higher cost - 3 quanta certainly isn't bad for such a powerful mass CC card. While it would have been nice to see it perform a little better, I'm fairly happy with the way it worked out.

Didn't do amazingly well, only managed to go 3-0 before it got its first loss. Regardless, I am happy with it from a creative standpoint, and as a whole, the people who played it seemed to love it.

Played around with a few ideas, but this one stuck as my favourite. A cremated Gemfinder can bring a nymph out on turn 1, few Congeals in the mix to stall for a little while in case it takes longer than that. Non-cremated Gemfinders generate a little bit of :earth to fuel Poseidon for a wee bit of denial. Damage starts off quite slow, but when the first Steam Machine drops and gets raged + steamed to 15|5 in a single turn, you're in for a good time.

Think I may have needed a few more copies of Purify, because the AI plays them on raged Steam Machines. While it's capable of some very fast starts, I think it may have been slightly too slow in general to make it to the top ranks.
