Elite Arbiter's Arena Decks https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=29492.msg375808#msg375808

Since I'm starting in platinum and taking my first deck down, I'm gonna start up a thread for my decks, if for no other reason than to keep tabs on my ideas. (Also, putting it here so I don't have to mark it in each stat block individually, every deck unless mentioned otherwise has Dexterity on, since its by far the best upgrade.) Also, peak rank is only listed if it gets into the top 100. Also, current comments at the bottom of the post.

8/10/2012: New Addition, at the bottom of the OP are going to be a collection of all the decks that have gotten over rank 25. Although pay attention to when they were implemented, a lot of these were from quite a long time ago, they may not be viable anymore, and/or might benefit from tweaking.

Most Powerful Decks (Rank 25 and up)
Spoiler for Hidden:
(Admittedly the first two are just a Firestall and Ghostmare for testing purposes, but the later decks are far less 'orthodox'.)

Everything fully upped spare -10 HP.

Got to 35-2 on day 4, got to about 48-5 by day 6, then got to 51-19. People really liked this deck it seems, with having 39/51 Thumbs up. Of course it might be slightly less due to being up at rank 4-6 for a couple days, but I'm certain from the early times I looked that it has over half thumbs up. Peaked at about rank 6.

Starting another post because A, I don't know if it actually shows as updated when I edit it due to no comments, B, I'm pretty sure I'm approaching some kind of text limit in the first post and I want to leave some room in it for other things. Also, stating that I don't mind comments incase I gave that air. And now it sounds like I'm begging or something. Eh, it'll be awkward either way. Mostly that I just like knowing I 'have' an audience.

These sections are usually a little slow, sub sections which haven't really taken off yet. But it looks like you'll have a pretty sweet thread once it does!

At the moment my favourite is easily Fractal Crawlers. I definitely was not expecting that when I opened that spoiler, but it was much better than what I would have expected. Trios like that provide a different fight, and it looks like it more than held its own. (Most of my decks go 2-3, 1-3, or 0-2 before being kicked out of Gold, so it impresses me at least :P ). The kind of deck that encourages me to figh arena. Especially if it beats me, I always find it awesome when I'm beaten by a cool deck that works.

And of course, Chaos Wyrmwind. Because its awesome.

Glad to know I actually have an audience, although I knew I had one before due to the (read x times), and thats the important thing. It seems like jumping it up to the top got notice from at least one person who didn't see it before, so thats something.

In any case, I feel a little bad, since you're the master of air, and 2 of the three or so decks I tossed out used a bit of air, and one of those three was a trio along a similar line as Fractal Crawlers. But the metagame shifted against that deck, or maybe people just stopped farming platinum with bad decks. They had a bad win ratio though, and this showed me I accidentally deleted the Chaos Wyrmwind runthrough with a couple Anti-matters thrown in and I need to add a footnote to it that it functions better with anti-matter. I'd be lying if I said I came up with Chaos Wyrmwind though. Honestly it feels like I'm only really being creative with the names though.

Although I'm noting a big AI problem with Graviton Akebono. It tends to play Rage Pot and then Overdrive on something of its own like a momentum'd graviton master, leaving it with 7/1 and dying at the end of the turn. Or playing overdrive on a player's creature and then immediately after playing rage pot on it to kill it, leading to an absolute waste of overdrive. I propose to fix this the AI is shifted to always play Rage Pot before Overdrive if played on a player's creature, and never play Rage Pot on a creature of its own with Overdrive and under 10 hp. I don't have access to the source code though so I don't know if this is viable for a fix.

And yes, I tend to ramble a bit sometimes.

(Edit to make it more clear. I guess my random thoughts that I play this game to design AI's is official, since I'm naturally wording myself 'as' the AI.)

Playguuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

 :))
Someone gets the joke, I'm assuming at least. It feels like the only time I'm actually being 'creative' with these decks is when I'm making up the names for some of them.

In any case, the majority of the problems seem to come between the interactions between Unstoppable, Graviton Firemaster, Overdrive, and Fire Elixir. So taking out a Graviton Firemaster will make these bad things occur less. Putting in a Massive Dragon to replace it because Armagio can have problems via gravity pulling and then buffing the gravity pulled Armagio which effectively wastes the buffs. The deck now needs both less Fire and more Gravity Quanta, so switching two fire pends out for two gravity towers.

-1 Graviton -2 Fire Pendulum
+1 Massive Dragon +2 Gravity Tower

I'll admit, this deck would be "much" better with gravity pendulum as the oracle card and making the mark fire because it needs gravity ASAP, and it only needs fire "eventually", but its sufficient. Also, current stats are 22-4, listed stats are what it was when it turned right to day 2.

Anyway, its not doing so good, and I got crusader as my oracle card, so here goes some inspiration work. I have 'no' idea how effective this will be, but we'll see I guess.

I'll make a post every couple of decks, partly to archive my thoughts on the decks instead of deleting them to make room for the current thoughts, and partly to showcase that it is still being worked on.

In any case, the previous deck started failing, and bow came up, so I decided to give it a go. After trying to figure out if I can go essentially mono-another element + Animate weapons and Longbows and just let the other costs get powered by the mark and make it a stall and freak people out... I decided against it and just made an animate weapon mono-air. A turbo animate weapon deck that only a Dexterity deck could pump out, with tons of C.C. and regular turn 6 kills provided no resistance. 5 tests with immorush, got off nightmare twice but it didn't even matter in the first four runs, all of them turn 6 kills. Fifth test everything 'seemed' to be going crystal perfect for the immorush, it drew mostly quanta source cards and I got a nightmare off my first turn (it went first), I had Minor Phoenix, Ash Eater, and Lava golem. Turn two it played Eagle eye. Turn 3 it threw out the Sky Dragon and Sky Dove turn 4 for a turn 4 kill.

I think it'll do just lovely.

And it did, right up until SoSa came out and caused it to go from basically 20-0 to having less than a 1:1 win ratio. So we've got Gemeni Akebono, who I forsee losing badly due to SoSa as well. Really 'any' deck that tries to kill loses to SoSa farmers.

I'm no longer quite worried about SoSa dominating all arena decks because it gets vaporized against an awesome OTK deck. And new deck up since Bolt lets me test out the deck I've 'really' wanted to try out for a long time. We'll see how well it works for this, or whether its hand gets too clogged up. Its also a bit more Aether heavy now, but not much I can do about that.

I'm not sure what you mean by eventually the weapon could snipe it, because morning glory doesn't attack things. But yes, I love how Miracle Stall and Dim Chain Stall compliment each other and compound. But its time to try out something new and experiment with another Trio,  :air  :water  :light to be precise. I 'think' it'll work well enough, but like all Trio decks I can't have too high of hopes.
