Yes, there are things that are out of control. No matter what you do, everyone has their own opinions and society IS rigid.
But nevertheless, I believe it's important to realize that even if you do follow the rules of society you are doing it of your own accord.
You may not like it, but you WANT to follow the path that people have set out for you. It's your choice. I think it's important to realize that it was a choice and figure out why you made that choice.
Because you take a little bit out of it all when you tell yourself that you have no choice but to do something. It's like saying that you're destined to follow a path that others have set out for you and cannot do anything else.
No, the choice is there, the reasons are there.
I'm not saying something like "You have to do your homework, even if you don't want to."
I'm saying "Even if you think you don't want to do your homework, even if you don't like it, you still choose to of your own accord and there's a reason why you chose to do it."
Personally, I don't like school.
I think it's pointless, and there could be much better alternatives.
But I still go. Not because I have no choice, but because I want to.
This choice is important to me, and yet I still meet so many people telling me that this choice isn't there.
