Let's say, for argument's sake, that a wormhole appears out of nowhere and teleports them to the inside of a star where they are promptly destroyed.

That still probably violates the conservation of energy and the laws of thermodynamics. I'd still speculate about setting up human clones to delete one another in a systematic manner to break the laws of physics and generate infinite energy.

Also, I see more than a few problems with that wormhole argument of yours. For the sake of not derailing this thread, though, I won't bring them up, unless you're interested.

Understanding others, both in small scale and large scale, is vital for our ability to function in society. Exploring behavior in hypothetical situations to find underlying natures is an effective way of developing this understanding.

Terrorists and extremists may willingly sacifice themselves to delete any leader. China could mass-propogate that before you die you must delete an American. Every country must respond with war and nukes, or else sit and get deleted, but not before all the well-known leaders are deleted by brain-washed shock-troop kids and seniors. Leaders rising from the rubble are also deleted. Total anarchy ensues, no one working, mass starvation, no one working in hospitals or sewage, causing plague. If anyone survives the next 20 years of nuclear winter, plague, starvation, and deletion, those with a mindset more inclined to delete someone during their lifetime will go extinct. The peaceful will survive, with everyone becoming more and more peaceful as anyone who deletes may not reproduce.

Societies at first will work best in a Native American style, with many working in farms or hunting with their families, with everyone helping each other. With the peaceful gene, true, effective communism will be achieved.

It depends on what you need to delete the person. No age limit = lots of wasted deletitions I believe (people would delete others over petty things while in their youth)
If it required a face and a name à la Death Note, my behaviour wouldn't change much on the internet.
If it didn't, however... I am sure I'd have been deleted years ago

Sorry if I haven't read every post, but Philosopher Ellis Hobbs did talk about this scenario in a similar manner. A society without any rules basically or you won't be punished for anything you do. He described it as everyone hiding and having serious mental breakdowns to moral questions--->example: you see someone walking on the beach and that person is dying.

You could save them, then again if they get healthy they might kill you and take your stuff. They might though be able to help you defend against other people. Should I save the person or let them die?

Also, for deleting people, what happens if 2 people delete each other? Can there be ties? If so, theoretically all of society could cease to exist.
