i would go with option 1.
i say simply because my worst nightmare is dying. and if i go with option 2, then people will probably kill me anyway. so what should i go with? a lose-win situation, or a lose-lose situation? it just seems the most logical choice

well, if hell does exist, then it wouldnt matter. if it doesnt exist, then i sure as sh** would choose choice 2. and besides, eternaly suffering doesnt sound so bad. i mean, yeah, at first it will suck harder than a black hole, but years, i would get used to it and it wouldnt be so bad. then i would have achieved my life long dream of obtaining immortality (though, i would be suffering during it). and besides as the song pain by 3days grace goes, "id rather feel pain than nothing at all"

The thing is, your worst nightmare is the worst thing you can imagine, and you can definitely imagine some things worse than death.

The choice was easy.
I agree. This only means that this "dilemma" isn't really a good one, and that we should modify it in order to provoke a more stimulating discussion :P

1. If hell does exist, just because you didn't eradicate all pain doesn't mean you're going to it.

2. I think that if you're eternally suffering, it means that your mind will always be 'fresh' to it, so that throughout your suffering, you feel as though you've barely started.

3. If 2 is true, then I'd rather feel nothing at all.

4. Having immortality at the expense of eternal suffering is worth NOTHING.

1) Choice B - I don't want to spend eternity with 2 meters big spiders and with 1000 small spiders which penetrate my body and lay spider eggs over and over. gross

2) Nothing and if I were him I would took all my money and things and escaped to some unhabited island

1) Option 1 is better for the whole mankind, but imo none is brave enough to face his worst nightmare forever (and I am not speaking about being obsessed by GoTPs), so I think that I would choose B.

2) Since I would choose B, I can't blame who chooses it, so I wouldn't do anything to him...

2) I might or might not be disappointed depending on my current answer at that time to 1. However I would not do anything to them because I do not believe that it is morally impermissible to let suffering continue. People are not morally responsible for the actions of others or nature.

1) I would probably choose B for I like to think it is impossible for suffering to be humanely eliminated if anyone knows that someone is suffering as described in A. [Never trust the Djinn]

Wait, in option one you said, "The god will then make everyone in the world believe that you're the sole cause of all suffering that has been removed."
Do you mean that the world will be made to believe that you were the cause of the suffering? Or the removal of the suffering?

It removes the martyrdom from the choice.

In normal circumstances, if you suffered for all eternity for the good of the world, you would be revered and thanked by the rest of the population.
But if the God announces that you were the cause in the first place, there would be no thanks, only hatred for you even though you gave the world salvation.

Sorry, it means everyone will hate you. They believe that you were the cause of the suffering.
