1. I'm not especially selfless. The choices define it as either Make the world hate you, or Make the world hate you. I'd rather not go with the first one. An eternity of suffering, compared to an off-chance that the people of the world will understand your situation, and not kill you outright, makes me realize that, hey, even though I could've rid the world of suffering... I would never be able to take in that fact. Losing my sanity ultimately makes all of my actions mean nothing to me.
I'd choose the 2nd option. Humans have the ability to find their own ways to cover up suffering, so I won't interfere.
2. What the hell am I supposed to do? Kick their ass? They've just gone through the same decision I would make. I can't be a hypocrite about such a massive thing. If I were to condemn them, it would be for not giving up their sanity just for my sake. That's no reason for me to hate them. The world wouldn't change, and suffering would continue, even I would suffer. But I'd rather not have a person be condemned no matter what he/she chooses. I wouldn't do anything to them. I'd even advocate their situation to make people understand that just because they could make the 1st option happen, doesn't mean they're better than him/her.
