Azumi 2 vs Jamiejoneslovesu 0

I used the same deck for both rounds.

Code: [Select]
58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 592 592 592 592 594 594 594 594 594 594 5f6 5f6 5f6 5f6 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5lg 5lg 5lh 5lh 5lh 5lh 5lh 5lh 5li 5li 5li 5li 5li 5li 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2
Round 1: I was losing almost the entire time living from one stone skin to the next till I had enough for a miracle. Got a MS or 2 out and near the end jamie didn't ignite any of her UGs she had out which was a fatal mistake b/c I drew 1 of my 2 relfect shields and ended the game. Also somehow Jamie got a 24/3 wyrm with some PU haxing lol.

Round 2: Had a reflect shield in hand but didn't play it to play some minds games with jamie...she didn't get any fire quanta so it didn't matter too much. I played the shield and a few turns later she got some fire quanta lol. Didn't have to do much since her wyrms didn't really so up till late game and I basically had a quanta float with enough light pillars to fuel back to back miracle if I needed.

i dont get this at all, i BC'd a copy of my PM to lava golem to Essence as required and then posted here stating that he forfeited the match to me
and that gives me 0 point
but a bye awards you 100 points for no reason (due to limitation on challonge)

seems as if Essence comes here once a while, scan through the posts and moves on to the next round
and then you'll see a couple of posters complaining about things that he missed (even from signups phase)
this has not been a good first event experience for me
good luck to the rest, i'm done with this event
hopefully the next one will be better organized and managed
This is the first time this event was held so there are bound to be problems. It's not easy to run an event solo, you know? I'm sure that the next time everything will go much smoother.

Azumi, what are those PAs for? You have no permanent needing protection.

His PAs are for pillars.. without them his deck wouldn't be very effective.

i'm pretty sure azumi copied that decklist from my first round match
actually the original version had no deflags, no reflective shield and mark of light with titanium shield with a couple more pillars
PAs are crucial against EQs and deflags because you need to develop your quanta pool early
my opponent went with fire/time, i was just assuming he uses the same deck for round 2 which is my bad and i had zero light pillars for at least 10 turns facing earth/time (which reflective shield do absolutely nothing to)

i'm just happy to see the deck is working out for someone else

Yeah I wasn't planning on playing since I missed round 1 but Antagon pmed me on chat so I just grabbed a deck or 2 that I thought looked nice and that I could play without buying new cards. As you can see its done quite well with a 4-0 game record for me.

His PAs are for pillars.. without them his deck wouldn't be very effective.
Indeed. I had to use them vs someone..might have been antagon b/c he deflaged my light pillars when I had very few on the field already.
