Pokemon Trainer Card Maker - What Kind of Trainer Are You?

Ever wanted to represent yourself as a Pokemon Trainer? What team would you use? Would you go for style or the most min-maxed of teams?

Well, here's your chance to demonstrate what you'd be like as a Pokemon Trainer! Simply post a card here containing your dream team of pokemon, and describe how it fits you! (If you need to quickly upload the image file somewhere, try http://imgur.com/ )

My Trainer Card represents the various Pokemon games over the years - the team of 6 is split into 3 pairs of MvPs from the games I've played - Charzard and Seaking from Pokemon FireRed, Gingi (Cyndaquil) and Treecko from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red, and Misdreavus and Makuhita from my on-standby playthrough of Pokemon Colosseum, with Misdreavus as the sole female of the team. I picked the Kanto Badges because FireRed is the only game that I've managed to complete as much as one could do without an additional game to trade from.

My questionably trained team in FireRed that somehow managed to beat the Elite Four twice before I had to start rotating them out. 3 guys (Charzard, Seaking, Nidoking), 3 Girls (Fearow, Graveler, Vileplume). I ended up powerleveling Charzard, but the rest of the team was fairly capable as well - while Nidoking got most of the HM moves, I did spread it around a bit - Seaking got Surf, Charzard got Cut, and Fearow got Fly. Probably not the most balanced strategy, but it was a team I grew proud of.


My Mystery Dungeon Red team, with one dream addition - Gingi (Cyndaquil) is based loosely upon the Torchic named Gingi in the manga that is based on this game - both are humans that were somehow turned into Pokemon and get involved in the plot to find a way back to normal. Treecko was the sidekick starter I picked; Sudowoodo would play an important role in covering for type weaknesses in my game, whereas I grew attached to Absol as a teammate who joined my group when the rest of my Pokemon distrusted Gingi due to a storyline event. Articuno was the first legendary bird I got in that game. The dream addition is Gardevoir - while I didn't actually get to the point in the aftergame where I would've gotten her, she plays a critical role in the game's plot.


And lastly a competitive team consisting of 'mons from my above 3 cards. Made ideally to match again Trainers running a variety of high-level pokemon.

My favorite pokemon from each generation, and probably the team I'll use once I get a decent Lopunny. Venasaur has always had a special place for me because few people choose Bulbasaur. Chandelure is my alltime favorite pokemon, and has nuts special attack. Lopunny is a bunny and so cute ^_^ and now has a mega, which is awesome. My Tyranitar from Coliseum is always there to remind me of my favorite game. Salamence is'nt actually my favorite gen 3, but he was chosen to have a rounded team/flyer and he's still pretty cool (my actual fav is probably Sableye). Same with Avalugg (who I'd say is slightly edged out by Aegislash in awesomeness) But Avalugg is an awesome runner up who is a megatank, and my second favorite type.The trainer sprite is Nino from Fire Emblem! Badges are based on my favorite gyms and leaders from around the world, getting at least 1 per gen.


And as a Gym Leader/Elite four:


Ghost types are my favorites, so my gym leader is a Chandelure cosplay and has one ghost type from each generation (fully evolved), my favorite ghost type from each. has the two existing ghost gym badges plus the eight gym from each gen, cuz she's awesome and stuff.

Trainer cards are both Fire Emblem style, my favorite game.

Ah, the ol' gen 1 team. Only one I got attached to, apart from Lugia. Happy to find a sword lady too, with a turquoise belt-thing even :>

Well I have gone for a reasonably balanced squad of the biggest nut-case psychopaths from each generation for Trainer Crazy J:



Primape has this whole twitching maniac vibe down. he'll be ready to tear your face off just because you smell faintly of bananas.
Typhlosion will be the calming influence on the squad, although he is admittedly a little hot headed.
Exploud can relay my commands, issue battle cries, or yell senseless, brutal obscenities.
Electivire gives the group energy, you know, that guy who'll give you a kick up the backside. With a 50,000 watt fist. More of a punch really.
Haxorus has an axe. For a face.
Volcanion... admittedly my knowledge of Generation 6 is not great. But I'm fairly sure that this dude has a Volcano growing out of the top of his head which gives him an air of confidence I feel would be invaluable for the harmony of my squad.

Background is blue, because I like blue. Hoenn badges because Emerald is my favorite main series game. Ace Trainer because he's cool. Evan because that's the name I use in Pokemon - I like it better than my real first name.

As for Pokemon selection: Dragonair is just a beautiful creature, Breloom is the evolved form of the Pokemon two of my friends use as an in-joke for me (they're Skorupi and Litwick, ftr), Altaria is a badass ball of fluffy doom who doubles as an emergency bed, Lucario is my favorite Brawl main (Aura Storm OP), Keldeo-EX is my favorite card in the TCG (although I should have used the sprite in Resolute form, to match Keldeo-EX, but oh well), and Aurorus is simply awesome and probably (EDIT: it was) my next Pokemon avatar.

Chikorita was my very first starter (my first game was Silver), and Scizor is my all-time favorite Pokemon because Scizor is Scizor. Your argument is now invalid.

Heracross is a close second though; Heracross was my favorite for a little while until it switched back to Scizor. Sorry Heracross, I still love you!

Shedinja is yet another contender for my favorite Pokemon (please note that all three are Bug-types.. ), while Ralts is my favorite unevolved Pokemon (Aww, it's so cute!!!)

And Froslass... Froslass is the best. I don't even need an explanation. It's Froslass. You can't not like Froslass.

As for the badges, I chose them based on my favorite gym leaders.

These are in no specific order, although the Psychic duo are probably my favorite (are my favorite? Is my favorite. Is? Ew. And favorite? Favorites? Is my favorites. Ew. I dunno. EW GRAMMAR).

And the name Kade... I just really like the name Kade. I always use it as my name in the few Pokemon games that I can play (there's a very limited variety in Pokemon when all you have to play them is a computer).

Charizard: First fully evolved Pokemon (first starter was Charmander)
Lucario: It's cool. Also, Aura Sphere.
Wobuffet: WOBUFFET!!!
Latios: I like it. Took me a really long time to find a timid one. First Pokemon I taught Draco Meteor.
Gallade: Actually the first evolution of Ralts I got.
Mew: So. Damn. Cute. Also, it's a levitating cat. Close enough.

The six pokemon from my two best 3v3 teams (Gen III), my current abbreviated username, two numbers that mean something to me smashed end to end, Lugia because one of my fondest memories of childhood was the Pokemon2000 movie, and the psychic trainer because I always had a fondness for psychic types.

I always enjoyed breeding, so an egg was usually in my group unless I was headed into a gym or the elite 4. Infernape and Blaziken both represent the starters I had for Pearl and Sapphire(Chimchar and Torchic), they are also fully upped as those are the games I had the most complete(Elite 4 beat, several lvl 100s, and close to gaining full pokedex). Bayleef represents my HeartGold game starter and my Pokémon Colosseum(gamecube) game, and also not fully evolved shows my relative completion(attempting Elite 4, and a few towns away from the end for Colosseum). Quagsire always had my HM moves; Surf, Strength, and whatever else I could give him from the TMs. Palkia represents The farthest Gen. I have played up to, Gen 4, I have not yet played Black/White or X/Y, but I may look into it in the future.

Character is Gym Leader Crasher Wake as I always loved the mini-mazes or required paths that each gym had, my favorite being the Crasher Wake's with the rising and lowering water depths and the floating bridges. Gym Badges for Gen. 4, as I always loved polishing them and getting them really shiny. Background is for the Pokémon 2000 movie as it was the first pokémon movie I owned and the one I have the most memories of.

Ditto, because Transform and Togepi for Metronome. Also, Togepi is cute <3. Ampharos and Scizor, since I owe a lot to these two Pokemon, they helped me a lot. Meganium, the evolved form of my first starter. And Charizard, my second final evolved form of a starter, because I played Gen 2 before Gen 1
