I think that bidding should be sent a bit differently root, in order of preference. For example, I wouldnt want dragon after bidding 11 points, but I could be okay with bidding on grass with 11, so I could send you


Dragon - 5
Grass - 10
(the rest)


Thus, if I dont win my dragon bid at 5, I could get my grass bid at 10, but only if I fail the dragon one.


It could be ruled out simply enough, IE in the event of a tie, whoever submitted their bid first win, and whenever possible, you are given your highest up choice, even if you win multiple bids

Preference bidding appears simple if you're only looking at one player, and not the bidders as a whole. But if you think about it further, you'll realize that there is no fair, methodological way of implementing it for all of the players. You can't know if a player has won their first preference bid unless you know whether or not the player who outbid them on their first preference has won the bids they preferred to come before it. I could *maybe* write an algorithm to solve this, but it's not worth the time. If you want to put in all that effort, you're welcome to!

So, Root, what are we going to do if we run over 18 participants? 

Well, then! I'll have to give multiple copies of one type. For 18+X players, there will be X duplicate types given to the X players with the highest 2nd-place bids.

Oh no root, I understand that, thats why I'm not trying to push for it. It would require you to know everyones bids and work out by hand the best solution, which could take any amount of time. I understand that this is /significantly/ less of a hassle
