pokemon etg pokemon league

hi guys, gals and questionable individuals me and Ji412jo are considering trying to set up another pokemon etg league I'm creating this thread to gauge if there would be enough potential interest to justify trying to start it up again.

People who have been around a while know the previous attempts weren't too successful so not only will this thread be used to gauge interest but it can be used for individuals interested to put forward ideas that would make it more manageable.

note this thread is to gauge interests and collect ideas if the interest checks out there will be a thread where you can post your interest in being a leader or just a challenger.

For reasons i willl not share here ji412jo has withdrawn from potentially hosting this league.

current ideas a brief overview more detail will likely be covered later in the thread.

8 gyms if possible all leaders are allowed to compete if they want with a potential to include an elite four/champion for the hyper competitive people.
we've had a suggestion of running generation based gyms instead of type

It will likely be using browser based battle simulators not everyone has a 3ds with a wi-fi connection i know i don't right now but if both people agree to using 3ds to play the battle then by all means you can.

you will be able to use whichever simulator you want  the primary will likely be showdown or pokemon online but i feel it is unfair to exempt people who want to play on 3ds if their opponent agrees

It's been asked that I explain this. The idea goes as follows:
-R/B/G/Y Gym
-G/S/C Gym
-S/R/E Gym
-D/P/P Gym
-B/W/2 Gym
-X/Y/Later Gym
-Dark Gym
-Fairy Gym

The main 6 gyms can use any pokemon from their respective generations, while the last two can break the generation rule but must stick to one type, symbolizing light/dark but with no actual light element.
Whether these would be restricted to using only forms found in their respective generations or any forms of lines introduced in their generation (meaning no Pichu for Gym 2) is up for discussion.
Whether Mega forms would be given to gen 5 and below is up for discussion.
Whether Jigglypuff is normal or fairy is up for discussion.

u can't modify the typing of x pokemon on 3ds (is possible to do it on showdown, but u need your own server)

rotom forms (in dpp all the forms was ghost/electric, they simply get the stab move, in bw they get the stab and the ghost type change)

You can alter attributes on showdown? Might have to try that sometime if it's feasible.
