OETG's 1st Birthday - Current stat

I'm starting to think that this is the reason why zanzarino isn't active anymore.

OETG started as an EtG back-up for PvP events in a long server break. Time later the devs decided to make it an independant game.
It respects EtG's license, the haters just think they are stealing zanz' job. But hey, hundreds of games are total copies of others, this remake is totally fine for most of us. The haters are just noisy.

Respecting legality =/= respecting zanzarino. If anything, the point that this is becoming rampant in the industry should be a reason for us to not go through the same path. If I was the one who developed a game, had to go on hiatus, and coming back only to see that others are already taking the game to a different direction without my consent, I would totally be disappointed, quit and let them do what they want. I'm also disappointed that you're putting off the opinion of a part of the community as simply "haters". It just means that not all of the community is in support of this.

Funny, I didn't start hating either, read my first posts on the topic and the reaction to those, then see where the insults lay.

In an act to distil some more flame wars. Everyone has become excessively opinionated of late. I am admittedly not a neutral in this matter but the honest fact both itr and chapuz you both have you own opinion you have right to voice it but turnig you voice it to plain hate, drama or any other point you come to. oetg is now a thing therefore it has split opinions. though the devs have put so much of their own time into so it is not likely to be taken down until zanz officially calls them up for it and the likelihood of that happening is slim it took half a year for the last fix to the game to be implemented and in that time period the community keeping the game alive were basically ignored it to 2/3 at least of that time for someone to do something about it. Hence oetg came to fruition and the people who deeloped decided to take it to the next level and that was when the disapproval started. So let it alone insted just running our mouths at one another. As i said if zanz asks them to take down oetg I'm sure the devs would oblige  but until anz starts batting an eyelid nothin is going to change.

Well said. As a content-creator who has had his work plagiarized in the past, it is HUGELY demoralizing to see this kind of thing happen.

Like Puff and itr, I also disagree with the existence of oETG.

Of course, while you're not legally obliged to take any action without zanzarino saying so, I'm sure if you think about it from his perspective, you can see why we think this project is so morally wrong.

It doesn't matter if you make money of it, what matters is that you stole it and made it what you want it to be without any respect for the creator.

It doesn't make a difference to this argument. Our opinions aren't based on the financial gain of either game, it's the fact that original content was stolen (think about it) from zanzarino.
