I've seen it on Kripp's stream a couple of times. The only issue is I can't be spending money on games atm, mostly because I'm at uni for the next like 3,5 hears (assuming I pass all the exams).

Seemed pretty cool. Reminded me of Sonny and Sonny 2.

'Tis heavily inspired by Lovecraft's works (Cthulhu mythos), which satisfied a need I had for some 15 years. With all content cleared so far though, I have to wait for the rest.

With that on hiatus, I'm pretty addicted to Secrets of Grindea.. which is also not finished yet. Damn it.

Sounds interesting.  I'm a huge Cthulhu/Lovecraft fan.  I don't suppose it has a free to play option? :p  (cheapskate here!)

Nay, but from time to time Steam will let you play it for 1-3 days for free, as with other promoted games. To be honest, this is one of those rare games that will have an impact on you just by watching and subsequently convince people to buy it from just a video. Largely because it's niche, but just as much because of its jarring dramatics.

It's quite worth the price point even though it isn't done. And hugs is right, my boyfriend learned about it from his friends, and he told me so I wanted it, and of course now I have to share!

I was about to buy this game this week, but after reading the reviews, it seems a recent patch really upset the balance, especially considering this is the final release, I'm a bit worried. The major complaint was how the game has shifted more to an RNG loss (you need nearly perfect dicerolls or youre done) and the money not scaling properly. Anyone have any thoughts either for or against the game at this time?

There is an /extremely/ vocal minority who screams constantly about game balance (either claiming the game is an RNG fest where you need perfect rolls or that the game is far to easy and needs to be way harder). Ignore them, this is a great game and difficulty options can be toggled. it's still gonna be hard, no way around that, but it's not by any means unfair.

To give you some reassurance, Jim Sterling gave the game 9/10 and he's famous for reviewing steam games justly.
