If you win a prize in a tournament or in another organized competition you will get a code.
A new "Redeem a code" button on the menu replaced the old metamorphosis button ( that is now redundant with the "manage your deck" tool)
The button will take you to a screen where you can insert your code, get rewards in electrum, or even select and get a new card.
Is the reward always the same?
No, each code will give you a specific reward:
A 4th place in a tournament will give 1,000 coins
A 1st place in a tournament 5,000 coins and a mark or nymph of your choice
etc.
Do I get a code for a donation?
Not quite yet, but very soon, the donation "code" is simply going to be your Paypal transaction ID.
A donation of at least $5 (had to put a limit in there - not nice to have hundreds of $0.01 donations) will reward you with a shard.
Do I get Nymphs or other unique cards with donations?
No, the game is FREE and it is going to stay that way: donations will never give you an advantage that other players cannot obtain in some other way.
Are we going to have a new shard?
Probably, I am working on that, I'll try to make it as balanced as possible, in line with the existing shards.
Can I use the same code multiple times?
No, codes expire the very moment you click the "validate code" button.
Can I put random number and letters trying to guess a valid code?
No, codes are created in batches and used almost immediately, 90% of the times there are simply no active codes at all in the database. You could try to insert random codes during a tournament, when you know that there are at least 4 active codes out there, but guessing a 16 digits code would statistically take months.
