According to the results from the previous poll (if anyone can lock that one please do) the stone pillar did not have a massive/stone feeling and life, fire and aether did lack a perspective/pillar feeling.
I tried to improve those four and we now have an extra option, please keep voting and commenting.
A final poll for the quantum pillar will come when I'll have the art for it.

I love the 3 new ones, except the aether one looks...barely changed, just gave it some pillar forme...it's better than it originally was, though :P

The new emerald looks GREAT.
Aether looks good.
Earth looks like you squashed the image it's based on, and not very good anyway.
Fire looks much better, still a bit meh.

The only problem I find is the fire pillar. You used the art from the second one and added a pillar which is fine but I personally dont like the fact that the bottom left part of the image is sticking outside the pillar. I would prefer for fire to just be coming out instead.
Props to all the new art though.

On that note, the ones for :aether and :life have been MASSIVELY improved (the 3 'prongs' of :aether were simple enough to get the job done, while the forest background for :life is, to me, beautiful). :earth 2 still looked like a pillar to me, so I'm unsure about which one to vote for. >.> (Although the 3rd one being up in the 'clouds' was a nice touch).
The only one that I don't love is :fire 3 - the :fire marks are kind of annoying to look at, considering we already have images of the mark everywhere. If you removed those marks and simply made them to be 'glowing embers', the image would be near perfect, but I feel those 'bubbles' aren't doing the art justice. The 'cone' you've added to control the flame (as if it was a torch) was genius - the marks detract away from the column of fire in that sense.
Otherwise, I'll vote later when I hear everyone else's opinions. Thanks again Zanz. :)

I agree about the Fire Pillar. The marks probably shouldn't be there, as they were distracting me from the rest of the pillar art. Like little :fire flies :)

But I suppose I'll still vote for all the newer card art #3 pieces now that I think about it. (I still feel guilty though...)

i find for Pillars and towers 2 Pictures were nice.
so that earth pillar ar the picture 1 and the earth tower the picture 2 as sample.

i liked the design for :life 2 pillar more but liked the background for :life 3 i think they should be combined

I went with:
:earth 2
(3 is too cartooney)
:life 3
(2 is ok too)
:fire 1
(3 if made look less like a small torch)
:aether 1
(others don't look like Pillars to me, and look too small because there's no point of reference in the background)
The problem with this poll is that players, especially young players, like new things. This is why results will always be skewed because some people go for new things just to see things change. I think current :aether Pillar is a perfect example of this. The art is actually pretty cool and has much more detail than those other 2, but because it's "old", it gets destroyed in the vote.

Awesome. Get rid of the fire symbols in the third fire pillar and it's perfect. Loved the third life, too. It does need some forest. Now, I can see the third earth has an awesome concept which conveys just how massive it is, and that fits perfectly with earth. Unfortunately, it just doesn't look as good as earth 2.

The only new one I voted for was Life 3 (which has had a great change). Earth 3 lacks texture, Fire 3 now looks like a torch with fire quantas jammed in there, Aether 3 looks like Aether 2 but sodomized with more depth from the background.

I like fire 3, much better than 2 as it looks more of a pillar now.
I agree with kobisjeruk Stonehenge inspired would be a good idea. I think that earth 3 is an improvement on 2 though :)

The only one I voted for was life 3... Aether 2 would be OK if it was stretched a little more or did something to be a little more pillar-y... Stone 1 and Fire 1 would be fine if the backgrounds were changed.
EDIT: BTW, I absolutely love how Zanz lets the community have as much input as we do... :)

I think most of the art has improved this time round. Life 3 is definitely great now and fits in with the style of the other art. Fire 3 and Aether 3 are improved I think but are "zoomed in" to the top of the "pillar" more so than the other pillar art which shows most, if not all of the pillar. I think it could be improved if you "zoomed out" and showed more of the pillar.

With the fire pillar, I agree with everyone else that you should get rid of the Fire marks since no other pillar has them. With the earth 2, I think it could be improved if it was bulked up and shaded more. Most of the art leans toward a darker look.

Earth 2 and 3 are fine for me, I like them both. Life 3 and fire 3 are very "towery" and beautiful. Aether should stay the original design IMO as an homage.

2 cents: I also like Fire 3 without the marks, but I would suggest replace them for flames instead of just remove them. Earth 3 is really cartoon like. It has an white aura around it, and its surface looks so... well, I missed the English word, but it looks like a mirror more than rocks. Still dont like too much Aether 3.
Edit: no way to add the planet like aspect to sphere in new Gravity pillar? :(

However, my favorite idea is that we should take the current pillars, make them more detailed and realistic, and put a background defining that element, so they look cooler, but we still have a theme. But that's just me :)

Again, I love every new pillar released! It's all beautiful!
Except for the Earth pillar.
I use earth constantly, and would hate to see it changed like that...It's almost...Cartoonish.
Of course, the opinion of one is not the fact of the majority ;)

the pillars still arent as good as the other ones for all the other elements-theyre great and asthetic but they still dont have the right feel. still great works zanz!

By the way, i think all (older) cards art should be revised, making then more detailed and realistic using the same picture.

might be willing to accept the third art for life, but i like the second one better.

Earth definitely needs something better, I like the stone henge art by kobisjeruk much better than 2 or 3.
Life 2 was quite good actually, but the background from 3 is outstanding... definitely 3 looks perfect, but the pillar from 2 with 3's background would also look great.
As for fire, adding the 'torch-tower' thingy definitely helped, but I have to agree that the marks should be replaced or removed. The fire from 1 looks quite good still... I guess it could be used if only the background was replaced.
As for aether, I quite like the 3-rd one, but vrt's art is also good. Aether is quite a hard element to imagine so I guess that might be problematic, but I personally like the way it looks right now.

I think,
because none of the other pillars have their mark in the image of their pillar,
so why this one?
And it just looks messed up,

Fire and Aether were improvements over the old versions but still don't really fit. Life definitely looks great now with a background that gives it a sense of space and a focus on the pillar.
Earth most needs work...
Anyhow, I really appreciate that Zanz actually read the old thread and tried to do something about it. Zanz, you are one quality individual. Thanks!

I wish I could change my vote. Voted for all 3's but taking a second look at it, I'd vote for Earth 2, Life 3, Aether 1, Fire
I'm not particularly fond of the aether pillars, but I love vrt's art.
Fire 3 is.. an improvement. It'd look better zoomed out so you could see the base and have embers instead of fire icons.
But in the end, I'd /really/ prefer a tornado of fire to a torch.

I really like this pillar (vrt) particulary the withe thing like constellation around it thats have an kind of mathematical aspect , and i like thats :

I really liked how the old tower art had consistency.
The new art, although very pretty to look at, lacks that consistency and thus I prefer the old tower art.

HOLY! Life 3 is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! I love all the new pillar arts, life 3 is my favorite. I always thought the pillar arts looked a bit dull, now that's just awesome. ;D

Time will not be changed, probably due to it being the most nostalgic piece outside of the quantum pillar.
Plus, a Time Factory will be rather hard to draw in detail.

With all honesty, I would like both the pillar and the tower to change. Everybody should see the improved art, not just people who upgrade the cards. I understand further encouraging the sense of self accomplishment, but the love should spread to all. ;)

All of the new ones are great, but like many others have said, I think the :fire marks should just be embers (I like the other improvements fame for it though)

Lol, i guessed right in all 4 cases. The inverted mountain of earth was not winning. Both new life pillars are fine. And the other two are definitely an improvement to #2.
I agree, that the fire mark is probably excess there. (Or all other pillars need it represented).

hopefully i dont soundlike an ass the artwork is good on all of them but :aether :earth :fire all look bad i dont like the new thing ur trying to go with was just wondering if you could improve the old immage by making it for firelike make it shoot a giant spiral of flames out and for earth idk aether meh just keepit for now i dont see the big issue with the pillar art life is kool i like the 2nd one cause of how u stilltell theres a pillar and or tower like thing there but theres like vines and leafes wrapped around it maybe dosomthing similaur with the rest liike have a jaggedrocky base and then a rocky tower shotting out from it or earth aether i have no idea and fire is prettymuch same thing cept maybe make it look like the fire is in moiton as it like spins around in a like upward spiral or somthing

Personally? I think the new Earth pictures look ridiculous. Emerald V3 looks pretty cool, but Aether V2 and V3 doesn't really look...Aether-y anymore.
Overall, I prefer the old designs. But that's just me.
