New art for towers/pillars

I notice most to all players voted for all the new towers/pillars cards not much voted for the old ones seems zanz is moving away from the old version thats from spore....i must of heard about 100+ players hey that card is from spore lol that annoys me o well i love all these cards good job to those who made/help on these cant wait to see the rest of the elements arts this just blows me away major change hehe loving it.

On a side note, I actually do like the Time pillar as it is now, it is just different from the other Spore pillars.

Didnt like the new  and  because they didnt seem to fit the element more than the original.

New air art is beautiful, but it looks like some ice pillar imposing on the wind around it.

New gravity looks hollow and has little arms hanging outside, which gravity would pull to the center and compress.

Just think the unchanged versions of those two better embody the element they represent

Some of the new art is not detailed enough, even if the direction may be good. I saw i'm not alone with this opinion, because most of those received more than 20 in the old section.

I think air/light are not distinct enough. Fire is not detailed.

Some people would vote for anything new, because 'change is good'.

at 1st i didn't like the new art for  but the more i thought about it the more sense it made. the gravity of the pillar is so powerful its taken the normal cylinder "pillar" and compressed it in to a orange floating ball of mass. which is exactly what gravity is all about.

but  2 still need some work

I think air/light are not distinct enough.

The new Light pillar art is quite distinct for me. The white light coming from the sun reacts to the low density molecules of nitrogen gas in the atmosphere, resulting in the blue light being absorbed and scattered as a good portion of green and red light being constant. So, it explains why the pillar is high in the sky and on a cloud (things that appear white reflect a lot of light).

Compared to Light, the new Air art seems to lack the depth in color and slightly holds true to the air theme for me (partially because air seems to lack identity in Elements and often just acts as a supporting role). I see what you mean on needing distinction for the air side, simply because it doesn't really show air in action. Probably a pillar that was in a shape of a tornado would of been much more suitable.

Or, I may be overthinking things.
