Im quite curious as to what the upgrades will look like.  Will they have the crystal stands like previous towers or will they be totally different?

Zanz said they will have the same addition as they do now, the triangle crystal stand things.

Since Pillars/Towers are so often used I love that they are being given a new paint job, way to go Zanz :)

The old pillars show the influence of Spore to this game, especially the background.
 I like them and I don´t want to miss them.
 Most rare weapons (all?) , most shields and many creatures are made with Spore.
The new pillar art is more like the newer card art.
Could be cool as art for the towers.

Zanz didn't draw all of it, make sure to give vrt and pepokish karma as well. They don't get recognized as much :3

Yeah, I think that needs new art, definitely. Also, if this is going to be the type of art style for the new towers, I suggest time gets a remake as well...

Ya know... something that I just thought of... why only have 1 art for each card? It would be sorta cool to be able to place 2 different looking towers that did the exact same thing, and had the exact same name down.

I think it's just too confusing and complicated to have 2 different art for 2 different cards. This isn't TCG.

I also liked most new versions, and mainly the ones that have an environment that is based on element. Some comments:

I always loved the gravity old pillar due to the planet like aspect of the "ball" in it. I think the gravity new version lacks a lot of the gravity feeling the old one had.

Stone pillar really looks weak. Floating rocks around it? Really?

I suppose Sapphire Pillar can now be renamed to Water Pillar. It doesnt seem to be made of Sapphire in any way, dont you think?

Light Pillar could be more visible, maybe something with rainbow colors.

Aehter Pillar really doesnt remember a pillar.
