Will flood be reevaluated vis a vis airborne creatures now?  It doesn't make much sense that flight-capable creatures would allow themselves to drown.  Maybe halve the damage of airborne creatures on flooded parts of the board since they're devoting energy to remaining aloft.

Also, useful flesh spiders=holy carp!

Well, sometimes it IS better to think first and talk later. :)

Wings is not a shield. It's wings, and there is nothing wrong with that name because it's called exactly what it is. Nice simple and descriptive name.

Wings takes up the shield slot because in Elements it acts like a shield, preventing land creatures from hitting you.

You suggested a "Levitation shield"? Wow.. So are you supposed to stand on that shield while it levitates you off the ground? No offense but I think there might be a reason why Zanz is the Elements developer and not you. :)

Maybe they weren't fast enough to notice the water coming towards them.

Just wondering, how could I type, in a language that is not my native language, something I didnt think about? Hmmmm, maybe you can teach me how to do that, if you have the answer.

And, if people can imagine shards that are animated by spirits and shoot laser beams, how about if a shield can create a force field that is strong enough to levitate someone? Of course this is another matter of opinion, if you prefer a shield called "wings", its up to you.

Yep, there are a lot of reasons why Zanz is the developer and not me, some of them are that all project is his idea, and I didnt know anything about programming. Because of these and many other things, his opinion is of course more important than mine, and is also more important than yours. But this doesnt mean I should agree with him everytime, or I shouldnt say what I think. Im not a zanz cultist like many people here that think "if zanz did it, its because its great". Of course I see the value of his efforts, but these are completelly different things. So, its my opinion, this is a forum, and Im supposed to say what I think, even if its different than what zanz think. Live with it or die.

Now, lets stop the flames. If you want discuss the name, or something that is productive, lets do it. Just dont worry about me taking zanz place as developer.

I sense death-air synergy, and this one is probably better than alfastorm condor.

It is. I've made quite a nice deck with it, centered around Wings, Spiders and a few flying Arsenics for damage.

I'm waiting to see if anything else will be changed with Wings before posting it though.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

Shields in this game are not a handheld armor, but a technical term for any 'permanent' that defends the main character (the elemental representing you in the game).
The only common thing for them is that there could be only one of them active as all of them go to the single shield slot.

I think this name is simple, elegant and does what's printed on the box. Your elemental grows wings, and flies above the battlefield where it is less reachable for the opponent's creatures.

In fact, before Hope, and now before Wings, shields usually were presented as those old handheld pieces of armor. At least, they were like pieces of armor in their pictures. If I wrongly thought we should have handheld armor as shields (maybe even because of the picture in the empty shield slot), like a shield theme, sorry, I couldnt avoid it. Now that we have a sensation and soon will have an evasion as shields. well, maybe you are just right. We could even think about a name change, "defense" instead of "shield".

Except for Fog Shield and Dusk Shield, but those are the evading shields instead of damage reducing and special effects.
