Elements can only be made better if the luck-factor is decreased and one can plan his/her strategy more profoundly. Knowing your opponent means that you can arrange specific counters against it, limiting the luck only to the draws. Which is still irritatingly bad sometimes...
I wouldn't mind, if there were no luck and chance involved at all, but also understand that this is necessary to provide a reasonable chance for everyone against pro opponents/gods.
