Should I sell all my extra cards to upgrade the rainbow deck..?

It's best to sell all non-rare extra cards to upgrade the rainbow (or any other FG killing deck), because when you start winning upgraded cards you can easily buy any cards you want to make a PvP deck or top50 grinding deck.
Don't sell any rares though (unless you have more then 6), this will save you from grinding AI3/top50 AFTER you upgrade your rainbow, just to make a flying 'something' deck, or 6 miracle deck, or something.

then the rewards, card costs rare card cost ext ext would get lower and lower

Alright I lost close to 700 electum on the False Gods with the rainbow deck in the OP. I have all hour Glasses and 1 Oty upped. Should I go back to farming AI3?

I would recommend to keep fighting FG, because with that many upgraded cards you should be able to win... probably you just had a really unlucky streak... but I'm pretty sure with so many upped cards you should on average earn more than you spend.

If you lack money to fight FG, fight something easier a few times then fight FG once again, you will win eventually.
Did you lose 700 electrum due to not winning a single time, or did you win at least once, but without winning a card?
Did you face mostly hard FG?
Because it could either be simply bad luck, or maybe you are doing something wrong with that rainbow.

Its was fairly consistent losses. I did win few fights early on, but I have to say it was more luck than anything else. Usually it would come to the wire and I will pull something like a Rain of Fire out and take out the majority of their creatures and skeletons would pop out and provide enough empathy boost to flip things around in the nick of time. When I win I usually mastery it, but like I said its never a "solid" win.

And then I started loosing a lot. Of the 700 electum probably 500-550 was lost in a row. I had to sell a couple rares to keep my head above 0. Off the top of my head I am fighting a lot of Chaos Lords, Hermes, Divine Glory's, and Red Queens, with a few others scattered in.

chaos lord you need to have a few more uped cards then you would have before a miracle and a some shards, i added another ffq 2 miracle and 1 shard of divinity and 1 boneyard and it improved my win by about 20%

I actually have one unupped shard that would become a divinity, but I need up it still. A big issue for me is Electum. I never seem to have enough to play my hand. Ill get 2-3 towers in my first hand usually and my opponent will rock 4-5. Not counting Super Novas or anything they might pop.

you mean quantum right? and thats because they have more towers then you can have in a normal deck
