1.29 Newbie Tutorial: Becoming Rich the Fun Way

I'm a newbie, and i'm stuck, , you say

"You'll also need three Lobotomizers for the next step. If you picked it for the 500 score quest reward, you'll already have at least one. There is an Elder who you can win Lobotomizers from, but if you haven't won any from him, you can get them from the Arena."

How do i get lobotomisers from the arena, I can farm AI3 and even get a lot of Mastery, but when i try the arena i get owned, typical i get 1 win from 9 and waste all the money i am saving towards the 9000, and at 40 per win its slow.

Please exspand a bit on this step, Thanks

40 per win? I think you're playing silver. You should be playing bronze if you want rares. There's plenty of mono aethers with lobos in bronze as well as getting the special spin is easier. If that's too hard for you, then just keep on fighting AI3 until you get the lobos you need. If you can't get that to build RoL/hope, then try CCYB unupped or flay em.

Bhlewos, I looked at the decks you linked to, thanks. However the 1st 2 have >10 upgraded cards that's 15,000 i don't have and the other 2 are less than 80% that I am getting with my own decks.

Thank you all for feeding us with answers. This game is awesome, but quite challenging to catch up for a newbie.

I never get the special spin... its quite annoying when you are 5/6 and you lose because of whatever.
I tried bronze, silver and even gold (won 2 ^^). But still, AI3 farming makes more money and rares I think for me (and I finally got 1 lobotomiser in AI3 ^^ and something like 5 or 6 different dragons).
I'll stick with the AI3 for a few days I think. Arena is too hard and too random (but ok, more fun ^^).

Bhlewos, I looked at the decks you linked to, thanks. However the 1st 2 have >10 upgraded cards that's 15,000 i don't have and the other 2 are less than 80% that I am getting with my own decks.

Your welcome. You can use the deck with only the 6 RoL upped. Make sure you have 2000-3000 electrum at first on top of the actual deck at first in case of really bad luck. I would begin with Gold arena first to get a feel for the deck's strategy and weaknesses and how to react to each weakness you encounter. Or do False Gods if you want upgraded cards and a bit more of a challenge. Gold=More money while FG=Upped cards. I don't know which is more efficient but I personally think Gold is actually easier than Silver just because of the decks found in silver being different.

In Gold it works quite well for me. Been using it for 2 weeks on and off now. Some times I lose at the fourth spin but It also won me the upped light weapon while light_sefi only won the unupped (Was in chat lol). The trick is often to save your dragons until you can 1 or 2 hit kill the opponent with them. Also keeping a RoL in your hand is often a life saver. Plague is the only real killer I've personally encountered as otys and owl's eyes kill the creatures too slowly to be of any real use and RoF for some reason I haven't seen once. =/

- built an unupped grabbix. (I should have built a mono death instead. But I don't know how good in arena it is.)
- chain silver/bronze/AI3 like crazy (with the semi-upped grabbix, games are all 5/8 turns long)
- upped the Immolations to Cremations in the Grabbix. It's important.
- sold all my cards but the grabbix, the RoL/Hope and the Rares.
- built the RoL with only one shard of gratitude (silver arena) and one lobotomiser (silver arena special spin)
- chained the FG (so far, 9 wins for 31 skips/loss, it's not good, but the deck is incomplete). Got 8 upped cards, so it's ok.

In conclusion, everything is going well thanks to this tutorial.

lobos are one of the rare weapons which I'm lacking. I either have like 5 of a rare or 1 or 2 of them. Lobotomizers happen to be one of those rares.

I got the last Lobo vs AI3 yesterday. They are a must-have vs Osiris, Fire Queen and a few others. My advice: keep farming AI3/Silver before rushing the RoL/Hope. The Semi-upped Grabbix (just the 6 cremations are needed) was not a waste of electrums, it helped me getting everything I need in silver league and AI3 (I farmed these like 800 times in a few days to pay for the rest).

Now I've a fully upped RoL/Hope and I just skip less than a douzen FG. It's like a free gold mine, even if I find these FG quite frustrating sometimes (poisons, miracles, empathic bondx6, rushes...). I'm working on a gold-league farmer now. But finding the good deck to upgrade is the hardest part as I can't fight goldies in the trainer, and the forum is a bit greedy in good up-to-date decks (which is good ^^).

There are fully unupped decks that work perfectly fine in Silver - they may perform around 50% but for a Newbie that's some pretty good cash.
