You misspelled "bear".... three times.

Pendulums do a simple check for the mark type in permanent slot #5. You could have a billion marks in play and your pendulums would still only add quanta between their type and your mark's type at a ratio of 1:1.

Sometimes your opponent's field can seem to switch between 2 completely different fields, mark included.
This is cause of desync.
I assume if that really does happen, the pendulums will switch on and off as well, so it will probably end up producing the same quanta turn after turn.

Zanz already talked about this in chat.  He was considering making it a rare that would flip between giving 3 random quanta and 2 quanta of your mark.  This wasn't implemented, but perhaps we may see it in the future.
