Even if it is like a tower, sometimes it is better to have them in small groups so a tsunami won't take them all.
That is, if you don't have lots of other permanents.

Yes they can,

for example, you have a  mark in your deck

then you draw an unupped life mark card (which will stack with your markt sign) nothing happens, its indestroyable.
but if you draw an upped life mark card (which won't stack with your mark) you can destroy it,
and if you draw a (un)upped mark card which doesn't have the same element as your mark in your deck, you can destroy them.

Also, marks are unlike towers in that nymphs tears will turn them into a RANDOM NYMPH.


You can use tears on a mark of fire and get any nymph.

Plastiqe is the one that proved marks are limited to six in a deck. By getting more than 6 fire marks.

I have 6 fire marks.  Alegedly zanz has said you can't use more than 6 in a deck. 

If anyone else ever gets to 6 fire marks then I'll get 7 and we'll know for sure.
