actually i've decked him out a couple of times when he only has 1 card left to draw so the draw 2 is mandatory

but, if he has 7 cards in hand, then yes, as long as he can rewind the last card, he wont decked out
but usually he doesnt keep cards in his hand unlike say, Decay

I'm pretty sure that doesnt matter, as when they have 1 card left they dont instantly lose. As long as they have 1 card to draw each turn (the rewinded card) they dont count as decking out. They only draw 2 if they are able to, it isnt mandatory.
I think that is the case with AI5, but AI6 has to draw 2 unless their hand is full.

That could be. I suppose the reason I thought that is because normally by that point his hand is pretty clogged due to a full field and me not having any rewindable creatures. So he was only drawing one per turn anyways. I still won in the game I'm referring to though due to my quinted destroyers :P. Just was a slow game due to not getting them till late and no hourglasses til the end.

Having decked out Rainbow several times, I can say that a FG will draw 2 cards if their hand allows it; having 1 card left in their deck does not circumvent this.  The only time a FG may draw 1 card is if their hand consists of 7 cards.

Thought that I would share this in this thread since it was discussed in chat. This deck should work well with Osiris. Though this deck is not really a breakthrough against Osiris, it only requires three rares - Eternities. And of course this will work wonders with upgraded version and few SoGs. Credit goes to chaoz to spark the idea about dune scorpion. Any suggestion/comments are welcomed.

This is either a deckout deck or a one turn kill deck (more the first though).

- Gravity Shield allows you to achieve (almost) complete invulnerability against Osiris. You only need 1, feel free to discard the others if your hand is full.
- Steal allows you to steal his 2 Eternities. Do *not* steal anything else. You will use his own weapon against him.
- Osiris' Eternity is your way to deal with Momentum. Rewind only those scarabs that he uses momentum on, don't waste your time on those that cannot harm you.
- Drain lifes can help you take down those annoying momentum'ed scarabs if Osiris doesn't draw his Eternity. Use it this way only if you are in danger of dying. 6 of these can also OTK him if you collect enough Darkness quanta (the magic number is about 170 I think; Eternity's damage will lower this). You can even get Elemental Master with these.
- Photon prevents you from decking out. Keep this little guy in your hand till you have no deck left, you do not want him to be eaten by the scarabs. Play & rewind, so that you can draw it next turn, and do this till Osiris runs out of cards.

The game will be painfully long.. but at least you win. :) I only tried this deck once against him, but it worked well.

(edit: made more clear the stolen eternity part :P)

ddevans96, eternity will be stolen from Osiris.

I haven't try this deck yet but I feel that if you didn't get the eternity early, you're definitely dead because you won't have enough :darkness  to be able to kill the creatures with momentum; to kill a single momentumed pharaoh, it requires at least 40 :darkness. Either way, I think this deck should have a decent chance against Osiris.

i'm really liking shantu's idea for the cheapest counter to osiris
another solution to momentumed critters: liquid shadow
last i check LS will take away momentum and poisoned critters will be devoured as soon as its within range
so instead of waiting for eternity, a couple of LS should take care of early momentumed critters
-2 gravity shield, -1 obsidian pillar, +3 LS

If you feel unlucky or want to go for sure, about 2 rewinds could be added in place of drain lifes/grav shields. Lack of early Eternity can be overcome with drain lifes - don't be afraid to use multiple drains on one if needed. The life you get should allow you to stay alive a little longer. I was thinking about Liquid Shadow too, but I didn't have the patience to try it. If it really removes momentum, then it is good too.

Edit: LS does not remove momentum, but poisoned creature really gets devoured so this is viable. :)

wow, i suggested LS but totally forgot about rewind even though its the trick i used in my timebow (grav.shield+eternity)
rewind is always a better answer to momentum than LS even if poisoned critters will be 1st priority on devour list
