Why did you choose your username?

This thread is going to be about why each of you chose your username.

I'l go first I was reading a book called Dot Hack and like wavemasters and so thats how i chose my username.

I was working on a name for an RP character. I enjoy things from japan or has a japanese influence. So I came up with this name from just sounding vowels and consonants and eventually Kamietsu came about. The full name of the character I create was actually Kamietsu Aiamura. Kamietsu was simpler for forums and the such and a name I grew to love.

Retribution just sounds plain awesome.

This name came up when I was playing cs 1.6 a couple of years ago. I was just ruling like the mast3r l33t haxx0r and owning the opponents team all by miself for a couple of turns (with a couple of stolen frags in between ). One opponent said: you are undestruptable, after I had a little luck to survive three opponents at once.

Thats when I remembered a lame joke: When the world ends, only two things stay the same: Cockroaches and the soft breads from mc donalds.
Just for the kicks of it I named myself Cockroach (or Kakerlake in german) because Soft Bread from MC Donalds didn't sound that pleasant. Somehow that name is stuck now since then ^^.

Before that I had the name Alfons. Solely due to the comic Gaston Lagaffe, where Gaston has a best friend called Alfons who is a genius. Well, I was reading that comic when I had to enter a username so I picked the first thing in my mind xD

Fortunately, I wanted to keep all my account names consistent since 2 years ago - so I wouldn't get confused between them (Not that there were a lot of them, maybe 3?)
Unfortunately, the one I started with had the name DrunkDestroyer.

I must have thought it was a cool name at one point, but that time has long gone.
Now I'm sticking with more subtle and sophisticated names, like NukedDryRooster, and FatLikeYo'Momma!

(Ok,  If I could actually pick a new name, it would be something like: Nemesis, Forgotten, Obscure...something gloomy and depressing like that)

Mine's... just weird.

I took the greek words Necros and Pyros, and merged them in the worst possible way. In short, my name roughly means Flaming Death. I've used it for over a year, and will use it for several years to come.

I used to play Megaman Zero a lot and liked it. This was around the time I first designed my user name.  I based my username of the my favorite weapon of the game, the Z-Saber.  Oh the good times of running around in that game, cutting every evil robot you found to pieces.

Well, I actually made like 2 accounts in-game before this one, one was called element of aether and the other firefly something. Eventually I began to like monsters with growth and lava golem was the best one back then. I liked the card so much I made yet another account based on an in-game thing. That was before i joined the forums, I decided I'd go for lava golem since the pictures in the game were also included here on forums

Dm. Why Dm...

About 3 years ago, I joined a first massive multiplayer game.. and.. I was just pressing random letters on my keyboard. I wanted something easy to remember. I decided to press all the letters and then stay with the 2 firsts. Dm were the 2 firsts.

But Dm was 2 letters. The accounts NEEDED to be 3 letters/numbers. Damn Accounts. So I tried Dm1, but it was lazy. And I tried Dm12, but that sounded meh. Dm123 looked like I wanted to show off that I can count. So for some reason I just went "Dm1321". Annd.. For some reason I like the name, and I just stick with it wherever I go.

Don't ask. =P
