What's your life like? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=8060.msg90981#msg90981

Being on a forum can often become impersonal, referring to people by their forum names and only knowing them by things they specifically say on the forums/ chat. It's good to judge people on the forum by their actions here, and it wouldn't be beneficial to bestow judgments upon any other person for what they do in their life, but I thought it would be cool to see what some of the people out there actually do. I saw Essence's website and it got me thinking..

So what are you like?

I'll start. My name is John, I'm a high school senior moving on to Cornell University in New York next fall. (well actually mid-august). I play tennis, basketball and frisbee all for fun. My passion is music and I was a three-year all state bass player (classical music of course). In addition to elements I play halo 3 competitively and the occasional CoD (GT is Fall Damag3 if anyone thinks they can beat me!).

My name is (omited) and I am a sophomore in an advanced high school.  As such I will be taking college coursework next year, and frequently produce products of unusual complexity, and have to deal with more homework than average.  As people I know in real life browse the forum, I'll refrain from revealing my innermost secrets.

I like the element life because of it's rush abilities and healing.

I enjoy reading and long walks on the beach.

I am an sentient Typo in the forum code that became self aware.  I am currently in possession of Icybraker's seal of awesomeness, despite repeatedly mocking him.  He would give the seal to someone else, but it's the only copy and I won't give it back.

I'm a 17-year-old Chinese teenager who is living in Canada since four years ago. Since Chinese last names are generic, and English first names are generic, you get a really generic name that can belong to a lot of people. See how many people named "Johnny Han" can you find on the Internet.

I plan to study theoretical and mathematical physics in university. I have this crazy delusion that I'll discover the Theory of Everything, or something else, that will make me more famous than Albert Einstein. I seek to know the truth about the world and the universe, and to me physics is the way. Oh, and I'm getting above 100% in my Grade 11 Physics class right now (number TWO in the entire grade :'( - I'm wondering how the hell the girl in the other class beat me), so I guess my delusion is not so impossible after all.

I think Mathematics is God - no, literally. Math is perfect order, the set of rules that govern the universe in an abstract level. Nothing even comes close to the importance of Math.

I also think Science is Absolute Truth. If science can't explain something, that thing does not exist. Of course, that is not limited to our present-day science. I feel like I should join the Illuminati, because I think Science is God and I don't like religions.

I play alto saxophone in my school's jazz band and senior concert band. Although I have no idea how to do an improvised solo, and I would've been dead if not for the other guy beside me who does the solo almost every time.

I judge people by intelligence, morality, and unavoidably, physical appearance. So if you type like an immature 7-year-old kid, most likely I'll look down on you.

Oh, and somewhere around January last year, I deduced that I am completely and utterly insane.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

BluePriest, even some of my friends call me that (pathetic, I know). I could show my name since a look on facebook searching my alias would probably show it, but am choosing not to anyways. I very well may be one of the few married people that play this game. Im a wannabe youth pastor/game designer. Game designing skills pretty much stink, but I can design "some" simple games. No college for me, Youth Pastor-No point in wasting college money on that. Game designer-no good colleges back where I use to live in Ohio, so I decided to not even worry about it. Besides, I was too lazy to take all the math classes it required. And then I got married and decided eh, Ill just see what I can create freelancing, designing for fun. Everyone at my high school thought that I would be a trumpet player in some band, love playing it, but I never wanted it to be a job, I like just playing for fun. I like doing things my way. I dont care about technique. Imo, if I can do something with bad technique, better than you can with good technique, then I must be doing something right.

Then theres also the gamer side of my life which is sorta crazy. Im 19 now, but Ive been playing games for over 80% of my life, and I mean actually playing them, not just mashing buttons. When I was too young to play them, Id have my sisters play them for me while I watched. I was so pathetic that even at that age i would bribe them so that they would. I was born off of a nes, I swear i must have been.Started playing games at age 3, and I beat Zelda || shortly after i turned four, and was the king at ssbm, unbeatable at my school, and by virtually anyone (sometimes 2) people I knew. Im a nintendo fanatic, not that I dont enjoy the other systems, but nothing imo, beats the classic 3 series of mario, link and metroid.

I won't mention my name either mostly cause I just join the forum and I am still getting to know a lot of you guys.

Anyways I am currently in college for Travel and Tourism because I enjoy being of service to people and I can make other happy by sending them to vacations!

I really enjoy discussions(the more controversial the better!) and I am very open minded to the ideas and beliefs of others while maintaining my own.

Like BluePriest, my biggest hobby is gaming and with E3 starting today(HOLY CRAP!!) I am debating on whether to skip one of my classes to watch the live coverage on G4 or be a good boy.

Recent games I played were Mass Effect 2(360), Infinite Space(DS), Assassins Creed 2(360), and Final Fantasy XIII(360).

Looking forward to: Transformers War for Cybertron, Fallout New Vegas and Star Wars the Old Republic dated for next year. The latter will own my life.

I am also very passionate about my music... fav band being A Fine Frenzy.

Current TV shows I am following are: How I Met Your Mother and Dexter. Lost is finished and Scrubs is just meh now. I really need something new to watch! =(

Oh I also love reading comic books!
Currently following: The Walking Dead, Invincible, Deadpool v4, Star Wars Legacy and I just finished The Sword which shattered shattered my world.

I think that is enough about me... I hope to get to know ya'll much better!

I was hoping someone would post of of these....not because I like stalking people but I just like knowing what kinds of people play the same stuff I do.

I'm 18, male, Chinese American (much to my dislike...at least I'm 100% Chinese). I go to school in Germany (yeah strange I know) because I got a great offer to help out with the school's 1 year old Crew program. (Crew is a rowing sport.) I went to grade school through high school in the USA. In high school I was in the IB program which is basically college level classes in high school...basically more work imo...but spending 4 years together with the same people and you become more like a family.

Nothing else about my childhood to school life...my hobbies are cross country running, soccer, tennis, crew, swimming, reading, eating, sleeping, and building model kits. (Gundam ftw)

I play tons of online games but I usually get bored easily..and I don't like paying monthly fees, thats why I never played WoW on my own, I used a friends account and hated it.

I now play Guild Wars, elementsthegame, fallensword, Dawn of War 40k Soul Storm, Counter Strike, Day of Defeat, and other xbox games..I stay off live now tough..might go back on in a few months then I'll add my GT and stuff for u guys to add me.

I'm PuppyChow (not letting you all in on my name :P ), and I'm going to be a junior in high school come fall.

As for my personality, well, it's funny because I'm a smart gamer jock. I really enjoy sports, especially football (American, and even though I don't play it anymore), basketball, water polo, and swimming. In fact, I *hope* to play water polo in college (D1 or D2 preferably). Probably not good enough to go play on the west coast though. I'm also rather smart; ranked 5th in my class (one of the top, if not the top public schools in Missouri) and am taking seven honors/AP courses next year. Imma kill myself for that eventually ;) . And of course, I really like playing games, namely Elements. I'm a regular on gamefaqs.com where I go by Puppy_Chow or A_Black_Dragoon (>_<). Really the only other game I play "competitively" though is Mario Kart Wii where I used to have the regional record for N64's DK Jungle Parkway. I'm a respected member (okay, the board clown that makes everyone laugh) of the Mario Kart Wii board over there, but spend some time lurking on other boards too. I actually found this game by lurking on the events and competitions board there XD. I only have a wii though, so I can't play CoD/MW or Halo or anything with friends on xbox.

Oh, and my favorite sports team is anything having to do with the Michigan Wolverines, the Cardinals (MLB), or (dare I say it) the Rams.

Favorite type of music: Rock/Alternative/Christian/what some call emo (30 Seconds to Mars, Breaking Benjamin, etc) when alone, Rap/Hip-hop at parties.

Favorite TV shows: NCIS, Burn Notice, Law & Order, House, Law & Order SVU, Rules of Engagement, Big Bang Theory... Okay, basically everything that gets reruns/new on USA and CBS. Except for the CSIs. >_>

My name is Jon, I'm a 26-year-old pianist and composer, A.B. degree in music.  If you prick me, I bleed music.  (Funny, I just invented a creature card, and its ability is called "Sing"!)  Today was my first violin lesson, something I've been wanting to pick up for a long time.

I unload trucks for a living right now, in the receiving department of a superstore.  I weigh about 140 and am 5'11" and confident in my looks.  I live in central Indiana and sorely miss the mountains of New York where I grew up.

I prefer video games that challenge me mentally, and graphics/action play very little part in my liking a game.  Elements is a good fit, as are most console RPGs, since I love good stories (my favorite is Xenogears).  I've played chess in a couple tournaments but was never serious about it.  I am TIRELESSLY analytical, it gets me into trouble sometimes!  If I argue with you on the forum, understand that you only got my mind working, you didn't get me riled emotionally.  Debate is almost never personal to me, but rather an intellectual thrill.

I'm a weakling physically, less so thanks to all the lifting at work lately.  Never been athletic, I only did baseball for a year when I was a kid.  I watch TV very rarely, and never watch sports.

I recently moved back in with my parents because I had a scare with trespassers in my apartment a couple weeks ago, they were probably carrying drugs.  Already hunting for a new place, though retail wage hurts my options, of course!  :)

It's been over three years since my last relationship, but while I'd like to get married soon, I have pretty high standards and a lot of other things going on right now.  Not in a huge hurry.
