It's funny a bit, to think about that there was once a button that I clicked, which asked "How long do you want to log in?", and I replied "Forever". Since then, I never logged out once. However, forever is not as long as one would expect it...
First time around, I was only lurking to check daily oracle counters, but as I slowly explored the place, I realized how lively the community is so I gave myself a try to introduce myself (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/introduce-yourself/let-me-introduce-myself/). The place was still a paradise back then, even though willng3 and ScaredGirl already left. Then willng later returned, but it's another story
Since then, I had a relatively long journey here, collecting many memories. Near the end however, I knew that I'll soon have to leave...
Oh, and by the way, this is my 3000th post.
It's a mix of many things why I'm farewelling now. Probably only Krzysiekxd knows how long I actually had in mind to leave, but something always made me to stay. Half a year ago, for example, I was trusted for Council Position (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/forum-news-and-announcements/8th-elements-council-voting/), which was enough reason for me to not leave any time sooner. Now that my term ended, I think it's time.
Something somewhere went wrong.
You want to be banned because you have no self control, you don't want people to comment and take part in an active discussion on your topic.. Are you sure a community forum is where you want to spend your time? Just saying, tumblr is right over that way.
He has a point.
And I had a few arguments too during last War. Learning from past wisdoms: if all other people are feeling good here and it's only me who thinks there are problems, then probably I'm the one who needs to leave. And even though I had problems, I can't deny the wisdom of the newbie:
I was there when another famous game, Kongai were ripped apart and burnt to ashes. Now it has barely 4 visitors per day, but the big difference is:
Kongai had only multiplayer function!
Until Elements will be one Kongregate and it will have AI 0-6, it will lure new players every time. Fact is, that the numbers will reach a minimum, but it will never reach zero! So until people from all around the world have desires to collect badges on Kong, some of them will be lucky enough to find Elements.
Because of the slowness of PvP and ragequits, I rarely go in PvP, so as long as I farm the AI from FGs to Arena, I have no problem with the game.
So this place will live, no matter what happens. :)
P.S:
I have to say this. I'm really glad that I could give back some of what the community gave me as I got your feedbacks from time to time. These elections, where you put me 3rd place community- (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/forum-news-and-announcements/end-of-the-year-forum-awards-2013-polls/) and 1st place staff member (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/forum-news-and-announcements/end-of-year-forum-awards-2014-polls/) mean a lot to me. If I didn't know anything, I would have had a sour taste while leaving, believing that I probably didn't do anything good (I'm a bit pessimistic lately about myself and the things i do).
Be good, and keep this place nice!
Some other last words. I am still signed up for hosting Mafia 52, which I'm planning to come back for. A lot of testing and experimenting is behind me, so I don't want it to go to waste. As I calculated, it will start around October (when september ends). Before Mafia 51 ends, please poke Kuro to contact me.

This is the first farewell post where I actually knew the person who wrote it. You were a great co-staffer, and I'll never forget your speech on how to be a TO. But life goes on, and I hope it goes to better places for ya. Best of luck, Sub :)
I'm totally posting here when September ends
-
Damn I really thought you were here to stay. Well, cya in october (?
-
see you soon Sub :)
-
Sad to see you go. Come back sometime (apart from Mafia 52 of course)
-
:'(
Good luck with real life, bro.
:(
-
Farewell Submachine.
Hope to hear from you again soon mate.
-
Good luck Sub!
And who knows, we might bump into each other in K or D building ;)
-
I'll miss you Submachine, :air teammate! :( Sad to hear that you're leaving, but I wish you all the best. You have my email from War, keep in touch!
You were always one of the people I looked up to the most in this community, and it's hard to imagine you not being around any more.
-
:( :( :(
-
Well, your problems are accepted into this community. If that's why you're leaving, feel free to stay.

Come baaaaaaaaaaack! We'll miss you, Sub :-X
-
I know we haven't spoken much recently, but I'll miss you and your bakura image around the forum. Until October.
-
:/ sad to see you leave
Enjoy life until September I guess
-
Why I didn't even notice it? :'(
So you have finally made this decision. Well, hope it is the best decision you could make, but we will hope you'll come back. But it's only forum and RL is more important.
Good luck friend in your RL! Speak to me in facebook sometimes :)
It is so sarcastic that you have got Staff Member of the Year award. Well, maybe it's not sarcastic, it is actually a perfect conclusion of your great work here as multiple staff member and in general being a very kind person :)
-
This is a surprise to me. Not long ago you were trying to convince the half-left hungarian members to come back and have some more fun. You have been very active and contributed a lot, you were a really good teammate in War when we fought together. I will certainly miss you.
Have fun in life wherever it takes you !
-
And I had a few arguments too during last War.
Nothing serious, and I'm starting to think you were right all along...
You had a big positive impact around here. I had a lot of fun in our War together, hope RL treats you alright.

You two really shouldn't worry about this. Different team members have different opinions, that's how it is. Having arguments is good, as long as it doesn't lead to fights, which wasn't the case here.

Sub you can't leave us even for a short period of time beyond elk you have always seemed to be the most active member. To up and leave is sad but rl comes first (wish i could follow that). So many people going i can't outlive members who came after me just not right of course I can hardly call myself active time is running out for me also though I might manage to hang around long enough for what will likely be my last trials and war.

Well, this is one post that saddens me.
I consider myself a veteran of this community now, I've been here for a long time. You know what? I still feel like Submachine joined yesterday ... Let me put a flashback for you
War With Shards. An event that majofa tried to organize. Submachine was still relatively new, and was sent to my team. I basically tried to show him my view on how to build a vault. We talked a lot, we tested decks, back then I still considered him a noob.
Later came events, I've seen Submachine more and more around the forums. He was growing with experience, that's where Submachine stopped being a noob, and started being a real member.
Then came War. War under the light banner was a real experience for me. Considering I'm a darkness lover and always have been, though I've never rejected light, it seemed funny.
But that's not the only thing : That's also where I learned to know sub more. It's where Submachine stopped being a just a member. That's where Submachine became a friend to me.
War ended in a pathetic loss for us. But we grew and learned and are, or at least I am, still proud of what we did. Because you know what? Yes there are things we could have done better, but if i could go back , I would not change a thing.
After War, I started seeing Sub everywhere, and i mean everywhere. With events, with staff position, wwith everything. That's when Sub became what I call a pillar of this community.
Community can still stand without a pillar, but it is fragile, and really did better with it. Community will miss it's pillar, we will all miss you Sub.
P.S. If you read this, and if you want to, send me your Skype info ( if you use skype) so we can keep in contact.
P.P.S. In the case where I already have you skype and have forgotten, just poke me, tell me im dumb, and all is cool.

Some of the new people won't even understand the title of this topic, but whatever... ^^"
It seems like i'm back a bit earlier than i expected. At first i was only doing some second calculations on how early should i return for hosting my mafia, but then i saw RootRanger's pokémon mafia and kept me interested enough to check back often. I also picked up playing the game again, because the Oracle decided to give me a Blue Nymph and it kinda feels like an incentive to stay a bit. So I'll probably do arena decks again and I'll post some other stuff too that i have in mind. I also have a new idea for a Forum Game, but i should not post it until False God says 2 finishes (plus the rules are still being discussed with Kuro, not 100% ready yet).
With these things said, it's good to see you guys again. :)

Welcome back, Submachine. I hope to get to know you here in the near future.
I see there are a lot of new people around, so it will take a while to memorize everyone. ^^" For a start, nice to meet you, MeowMeowCat!
