Alls I know is its a samsung flat screen which I have a rogers HD box hooked up too... not sure if my picture is 100% HD any ideas?

You using an HDMI cord? If your watching tv shows, are you watching HD shows? Just because your tv is HD it doesnt mean your tv provider is giving HD shows. HD means a lot now days. 720p could be HD, or 1080p. Whats your refresh rate? Whats the size of the tv? My tv is a 1080p 3d ready mitsubishi dlp tv. When watching regular tv shows, it can be a pain sometimes, however when I stick in n HD movie (using an hdmi cable) It looks great.

Calibration is mainly for the color, sharpness, contrast, ect. if im not mistaken. Those things mainly alter the look, and not necessarily the quality (with the exception of sharpness) of the image.

I dont use the HDMI cable, just the regular blue red green 1
