Several people asked me to start a thread where I can share my knowledge and help answer questions so I am!
About me: I'm a senior biochemistry major at Oakland University in Rochester, MI and I work in the testing lab part-time for Plymouth Technology. I'm also taking graduate level courses in polymers so anything chemistry, biochemistry, polymers, and to a certain extent biology related I can help out with.
I'll also post random information from time to time about stuff I'm learning. I'll kick this off by starting a list of important chemical equations you need to know for chemistry.
Important Formulas
Boyle's Law (also commonly known as the Ideal Gas Law)
PV = nRT
P represents the pressure of the gas
V represents the volume of the container the gas is enclosed in
n represents the quantity of gas particles present in moles
R represents the Ideal Gas Constast
T represents the temperature of the gas in Kelvin
Important Constants
Ideal Gas ConstantR = 8.314472 J/mol
*K
R = 0.08257 L
*atm/mol
