Time travel will never be invented! https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=20090.msg254857#msg254857

Ok, so here's the theory:
>It takes 10 years for your nerd scientists to invent a carry-on time travel device.
>You would go 10 years into the future to when the 2nd TTD was completed and take it as well.
>You would travel back to when you were 20 (assuming your about 50 when this starts) and give the TTD's to your parent, instructing them to do the same.
>The TTD would progress back Generation to Generation, eventually to our era or earlier.
>The carrier at that point could show the world that Time travel is possible.

That hasn't happened yet.
I don't know why i told you this, but i have.  :D

There are some things that can only be explained with time travel.
How did humans luck upon the pinnacle of cooking so early? Obviously some rich corrupt polititian wanted not only his son to get the very best, but also his great-great-great-great-great-great-great-father.
How did we ever come across the many delights (and 10x as many horrors) of chatroullete without a helping hand from some really, dirty guy?
And most importantly, how did someone as sophisticated, intelligent and generally more evolved human being such as me manage to land in a century where there are not yet waterproof iPods on the mainstream market. My parents in the year 5000 probably wanted to bless the 2nd millenium, so they sent me. And then flashy-thinged erased my memory, and waited for the butterfly effect to take place and for the revolution of the Deep-fried-microwaveable-TV food market to kick-start right in front of their eyes.

You ever seen Terminator? They send back the robot to kill John Connor's mom, but she lives. Because she lives, she trains John to be a really good fighter dude or something. Because he's a really good fighter dude, the robots send a robot to kill John Connor's mom.

We would know, because people would have come back with a time machine already.

This doesn't rule out time travel that creates multiple universes, or time travel that can only go back as far as when it was first invented.

Also you are making an assumption that they would want to give us time travel.

Most likely they would be pretty evolved intellectually/mentally and realize that giving us time travel would be a bad idea.

Think about how we are destroying our planet. If I was from the future I would be like "Screw those people from back then they didn't respect or care about anything and were a bunch of self indulging, ignorant fools. No way in hell am I giving them a chance to get anywhere near any other timeline."

That doesn't address the argument that if anyone was ever to visit our time, we would have already seen them.

im not sure of the details but we im fairly sure that we can slow down time to almost frozen rate

going back in time is impossible using the method for the previous

and going faster in time seems impossible as well
