I started elements about... say, 2 years ago. I played for about a month with my home-brewed rainbow (chose aether at first), and got to about 500 score. I chose eternity, because it looked cool, and spent some coins to change my mark to time. I didn't do well enough from then on to increase my score, and hovered around 500. I quickly got bored with the game, but played it a little more the get the Kongregate achievements. I couldn't get the Flying Spaghetti achievement though, so I stopped playing for a while.
About a year later (so, a year ago) I began to play elements again. I chose light this time, because I thought it would be cool to play. During this stint with light, I had a lot of cards. Every time I won a spin, I would keep the card (as opposed to now, when I sell them). After one of the spins, I won an Oty. I thought, wow this is great, so I looked at the gravity cards for the first time and I thought, these are pretty cool. I mostly ignored it though, and I kept playing light until I killed my first FG with an extremely lucky draw - not on Kong though =( . I was pretty sad that I didn't get the achievement, and I could never duplicate my success on Kong, so I once again gave up on the game.
Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago, and I decide, hell, lets play elements. So I got to the screen, and choose gravity. It wasn't a real decision (I wasn't thinking about prior knowledge, I just hit the reset button in my brain for elements). Honestly, I didn't remember much past light being pretty cool anyway. So when I got unto the game, the first thing I did was look at my deck. And here are all these big creatures, with huge HP and general awesomeness in abilities. Armagio's were my fave for sure. The earth cards didn't compare. So I dumped 'em asap. I rolled mono-grav for a while playing against level two's, but I wasn't having a huge amount of success. After that, to improve my performance, I picked up a couple of fire cards, and lo and behold, I did well enough to fight level threes. But, the fire cards weren't my style. I sold them, and made my current deck (which I haven't changed for a week, just can't figure out what to do)(and the earth to mono to fire to mono occurred in a week, for those with poor math). I've been having some good success with the deck, and I've upgraded my first two cards - a Charger and Oty. I love gravity because it has huge creatures, and I'm a huge guy. It works at. I've always shot for the top in whatever I do, so right now I'm shooting for, of course, Master of Gravity, although I clearly have a long way to go. I also like gravity because I don't see a lot of decks for it online, so I could feel good about my deck, knowing its my own creation.
Oh, I would also like to add that I have no idea what all this war stuff is, I just want to be at the tippity top.
