Why aren't images (mainly sigs) allowed in signatures? I realized the other day that I hadn't made a sig for this forum yet, so I went ahead and threw together a simple one, only to find out that the "[\img]" code isn't enabled signatures. Why is that??

Here's the sig I made by the way:

(Darned hosting throws the quality off)

In some forums, people go nuts with sig pix. I'm sure you wouldn't want some random person with 17 1000x1000px images in there sig :P
imagine if we had a bunch of people like that, and then look at the "one of our members is a hacker" thread.

It is disable in this forum. Here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,17772.0.html) is a good read concerning the discussion to enable this. Like the picture btw.

Simple: Rules to constrain signature proportions, or even approval.

Thanks. Didn't see the other topic before. Great to know, but disappointing. Especially sad to see that SG virtually despises the idea.

And you say the quality is even better?  Man, that's a nice piece of artwork.  That being said, it's a bit sad pictures aren't allowed in signatures, but it's reasonable.

That is a pretty beautiful sig banner, especially considering it's not at optimal quality, but to be honest I've come to like the clean look this forum has that comes directly from a lack of signature images. It really does make the site that much easier to read and kinder on the eyes.
