Anyone here ever play Planarity? (
http://www.planarity.net/) You are presented with a spirograph-like pattern of vertices and connecting line segments, and the object of the game is to rearrange the vertices such that no line crosses another line. Very simple concept, and level 1 is easy, but the difficulty ramps up fast... until you really figure out how to process the puzzles methodically, then it's easy.
Here's a shot of level 10 completed, which took me a few minutes:
On a lark, I typed "50" in the Jump To Level box. This is not 50 vertices, but some exponential or multiplicative result upon 50, I suppose... here's a screenshot just before I head toward bed, of my current progress:
The gathering at the left side is my solved portion. You can still see some of the ring the vertices started in; they were so close together that no blue was visible. I had to drag a ton of them into the middle and far right just to work on this mammoth. The left side IS perfectly solved, though... my main limitation is the size of the window, which can't be increased past 800x600. The method of solving being elegantly simple as it is, I could solve a football field-sized Planarity level without difficulty... apart from the time it would take! I'm near to giving up on this one, as things keep getting more and more cramped, and I haven't fully dismantled the starting ring yet. At this point the window size is the only thing that could possibly prevent me winning, I've sufficiently proven my skill is enough to win, so I wouldn't feel bad about quitting. 8)
Someday I'm going to make a lucky girl very happy when every Christmas I cheerfully volunteer to untangle our Christmas lights...
Oh, and in closing, just because I can:
Like ring to Gollum,
My bedspread beckons to me
And I must answer.

EDIT: must have misclicked because my level 50 game is gone. *shrug*
