Where should be the best place for the Mentor and Apprentice topic? It should be somewhere, where the newly introduced people can find it by themselves, while not being in a thematically wrong place (for example, we can't put it in the False God section just to lure attention :)) ). I thought about http://elementscommunity.org/forum/general-discussion/. At first we may need to advertise it a bit in the Introduce Yourself section, but hopefully later people will find it by themselves if it will be a success. (and if not, it's better that noone finds it easily ^^")

Anyway, it's nice to see that this many people would volunteer to help new players. :) I put up a poll whether we should have time slots or not.
Why not have it at the very same place as the old mentor program? I personally think it would be funnier just to pick a member instead of having time zone choose.
We cannot post there, because it's locked, and I doubt that it will be opened again. But because mentorship is still a good idea, that's why we should create our own thread first, which will gonna be the same, but unstickied. Moreover, if Administrators see that it works, they may be convinced to open the original thread for us. For example, we should ask them after the first 10 apprentices.

I concur. Instead of timezones, possible mentors should just write a small introduction of themselves about what they can help with and how often. There we can also mention our available timezones, but only as secondary information. I'm going to write a sample introduction of myself and ask your opinions about if that's enough or not.
And we keep driving into the night
It's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye...

I should become a mentor. Even though I am not a full pro like you other people, I know what I am doing.

If I were to organize this it'd be something in the lines of:
Create a Thread, possibly make it official by asking a mod, in General Discussion and/or Tutorial (if they don't want to let us renew the Mentor Program board);
This Thread is used to list all of the Mentors in the OP, with their Time Zone and, if needed, some notes about them;
In this Thread, wannabe apprentices can see who they'd want as mentor and PM them;
After that, everything is no more dependent on the Mentor Program itself, but it's just two users in which one is explaining the other stuff via PM, chat or whatever.

This is exactly how I was also imagining this. :) "Mentor Program" is just a name, which won't even be really a program after an apprentice contacted us, just a normal conversation. And while we will be called "mentors", we are just helpful dudes who answer questions and give advices.

I would offer my time to help new players, too.

So if there will be a mentor project, pls tell me. Cause I am not always up to date.
Also I don't know anything about the last mentor program. I just know it existed long time ago.

One more note: This project can just work, if enough experienced player join it.
