Independence Day has become New Year's Day in the US
...because as soon as it hit 12:00 AM here in Florida all my neighbors decided to set off their fireworks.

I've had people lighting fireworks for the last 3 days around me, usually from 9-10 at night.

Heh. Well I guess since they start selling them a month early people just can't hold out for that length of time.
