Also, the guy who created the site, Eliezer Yudkowsky (who was on NPR recently), also wrote an amazing story entitled Harry Potter and the Methods or Rationality.
Which, I have to add, is fantastic. Everyone should read this fic (which is still being written).
Thanks guys for introducing me to this. I much prefer this Harry Potter character to the original one, with his Sheldon-like comments and irritability mixed with some sort of intellectual charm. It obviously is much better for someone who has read the series (or understands all of the terms and ideas referenced and used). Plus, it makes me think about the things being explained, because many of them are things I haven't come across before. I like it when books do that.

+1 Person saying "read it"

What? Don't I get +1? I mentioned it with an implicit recommendation, and, if you check my profile, it is listed as my website. My signature is also a reference to it...

You misinterpreted my meaning. I was simply saying that I am one more person saying read the book. So essentially the +1 was...me.

Also, try not appreciating this sentence (for people who have not been convinced to read it yet)
Quote
"I understand," Harry said. He kept the resentment out of his voice, and didn't say any of the other things that came to mind. McGonagall had told him to think before he spoke. He probably wouldn't remember that tomorrow, but he could at least remember it for five minutes.
Best. Character. Ever. (Since Tyler Durden, Darth Vader, Indiana Jones and all the other good ones)

Oh. I did misinterpret your meaning, and for that I am sorry. I had thought the recommender had gotten karma, and the greedy part of my brain, which I do my best to repress (along with everything my Y chromosome says), decided that 1 karma is infinitely better than zero, and, thus, I should protest.

My apologies good sir.
