Vrt's school has been closed and is outdated no offense. I am great at photomanipulation but not so good at actually making art.

Development of openEtG-vanilla would be greatly improved by someone surveying edgecases in Elements, and then either summarizing them or better yet coding them into ui.test.js (apologies that atm current tests are inaccurate as they reflect openEtG's expected results, not Elements's)

About 90% of the images are broken. Whilst the lessons themselves are fine, it is almost impossible to look at the images and see where and what you are criticising. That's pretty much the only problem I have with it, otherwise, it's fine.

Photomanipulation is completely easy since I'm already given an image to edit.
Making an image is much harder. But if I know nothing, I guess I do know nothing.
Can you update your school at least? I'd appreciate it.

This video tells me art is made from a series of strokes. With the right strokes, almost any art can be done.

I like Alphonso Dunn's tutorials a lot (search for them in Youtube). They are for non-digital art but he teaches you how to think about your drawing, how to tackle the basics and more refined points, which is something you can translate to other medias.

I can teach you some of the tricks/techniques I use in gimp when I have the time. I don't know my way in photoshop so well, but most of the things that you can do in one can be done in the other (though each has unique tricks that are extremelly useful). I also warn you that I pale in comparison to vrt XD.
