I wouldn't be surprised about the high frequency of GW players because the team building aspect of GW is amazingly similar to deck building. If I recall correctly there is actually a GW card game, where the cards are random skills from different classes that have to be combined into the right strategy. Furthermore few games do that as well as Elements so it's the logical choice for GW addicts.

huh, theres a gw card game? I'll have to look that up.  I just hope they add automated sealed deck play in the future, that game type looks awesome.  You said you were in a top gvg guild earlier, which guild?

It seems a suprising number of former guild wars players are playing elements, I have talked to at least three in elements chat that have been in top 100 guilds.  I'm just wondering who here plays GW, and what (good) guilds people have been in?  As for me, I'm in a new guild called Chosen Ventrilo [CV].  We only have two extremely expierenced players, but I think we have some potential.  Most of the other guilds i have been in either A.) sucked, or B.) were pve guilds.

i logged over 5000 hours in guildwars.  had 10 characters, one for each class...each had completed all 3 campaigns in full.  also had rank 5 in the lowest form of pvp.  never joined any reputable guilds, but some very friendly smaller ones.  im done with GW until gw2 comes out.

are you talking about an actual card game made about guild wars? or the minigame polymock?

polymock is a very short mini-game that was in the form of a long quest in guildwars.  it combined a very small amount of deckbuilding (3 cards total) with strategy of card order, spell order, and timing.  it basically ended up like a rock-paper-scissors button mashing match...

it had a very low reputation in the game and was not pvp.  most players either ignored it all together or did the bare minimum to finish the quest and move on.

There was an actual card game in IRL that I was referring to. I played in a number of different guilds, including a BdV smurph, Skill Update [Nerf], Warmachine Europe, School of Korean [Hax] and a huge amount of other guilds that I don't remember the full names for. As I quit over a year ago the majority of the guilds have slipped my mind, so I apologize in advance for that.
