This game is really fun.  I played my first game against Daxx, and he owned me....  :(

This is a lot of fun. There is a significant element of luck, sure, but if you understand how that tends to manifest itself you can still play with a few strategies that improve your chances. Probably the best part about the game is how epic it gets towards the end - the terrain altering can produce some really spectacular endgames which is a nice departure from chess or draughts. Also, the multiplayer is implemented extremely well (which is good, given the lack of AI opponents).

I agree completely, Daxx. Changing the terrain is probably the neatest feature this game has, and the end games are most always amazing.

Something I found out is your piece has a limit to how many powers it can have (or how many of a certain power, not sure which). I had teach column, learn column, and hotspot on one guy, so I used teach and taught another guy learn column and hotspot. Since they both had learn, I was able to keep doing this until they both had several hotspots. Then I did it too much and one of them died lol... so ya, just a useful bit of information.

www.quadradius.com

It's like chess/checkers sorta. All your pieces are the same kind, and they can move forward, backwards and side-to-side. You take your opponents pieces by jumping on them (same square). The best part is this feature called orbs. You collect orbs with your pieces and the piece that picks it up gets a random power. Because of the randomness/luck of it a lot of you may not like it, but if you like games where anything can happen no matter how much strategy you use (there is a lot of strategy, by the way), this game is for you.

For instance, the second game I played with my friend, I was down four pieces to eight. I got the bomb ability which destroys everything on random spots on the board, and wound up taking out five of his guys, and I ended up winning. So if you can't tell, this game is full of epic wins and losses.

There's a free version where you play as a guest (what I've used, and it's awesome, it's not one of those crappy demo's or trials), and if you like it you can pay (starts at $2.95 a month and gets cheaper if you buy in bulk) and you get more features and more orb types.

So ya, give it a try, and if you like it let me know and maybe we'll play some.

Lastly, like I said, luck is a major factor, so don't get upset and hate on it if you get unlucky and lose.

Ya that happens... not sure yet how much skill it takes to win... most of it seems to be luck lol...

I'm a big fan of strategy board games but this one didn't impress me much. It was kind of boring and the luck element was too strong.
