Decided that for practice I would play all of
CDW3 from the sidelines. This isn't official, of course, but for my own edification I figured I'd make it public.
In order to preserve the cleanroom spirit of card design competitions, I'll only be posting cards after the design portion of the round concludes. Further, I will not be reading any competition cards from the round until I finish designing. Any other card designers who have a mind to join this pursuit or give advice on the fact that I value "Cool!" over "Balanced!" over "Codeable!" are welcome to post here too; just make sure that for any card the challenge limitations are noted alongside.
Round 1:Round 2:Round 3:Spoiler for Match 4:
Restrictions:- Must be more than one word, and one of the words must have 3 or fewer letters.
- The card's cost must be an even number.
- The card must not belong to , , or .
- Conditional - If a permanent, must have no effect to have more than one in play, either by being impossible to play (shield, weapon), or by having no additional effect (Shard of Patience, Eclipse).
Yes, the wielder is included in the potential targets. Lightning generally doesn't care who or what it hits. And yes, the stall potential is potentially really bad, but since I'm considering this object to be a 'tree' of sorts it made sense to make branches.
The remainder of the rounds follow.
