Elements Causing Depression? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=24031.msg306793#msg306793

I have been in this community for a while now, I am one of the most hated person in the community...

For some reason, what started out very fun, is now kind of a burden... it just seems I am more stressed than relieved... old members leaving, new members not dedicated enough, you name it..

*sigh* unfortunately, Elements has a way of grabbing certain people, and I belong in that certain group of people...
This is NOT a goodbye topic, it's just a topic I wanted to post.

Elements is a game... a sophisticated game but a game nevertheless... it should be fun.

If it stops being fun you probably need to change the way you are playing it.  I am not saying that you shouldn't take it seriously but stress and depression?  No.  It is an online fantasy card game, we are not saving lives here.
It is too late to apologise.  I have already forgiven you.

Without wanting to make this personal. I don;t hate you, I'd just like you to behave a bit more friendly to newer members. Even if you don't mean to be unfriendly, you seem kinda elitist, calling others newbies, and making remarks on their decks instead of just helping.
Also, the whole phoenix thing is really lame, but that's just my opinion.

To get back on topic: What is the biggest burden on you? And what do you feel is stressfull?

I'm not experiencing any stress personally.

part of it is RL... I should probably be on depressants... but I hate them...

I call ppl "newbies" because of their forum rank... I don't really mean like game newbie...
the phoenix thing is actually, funnily enough, one of the most fun thing I do in the forums..
and I know you don't hate me.... that wasn't directed towards you, or anyone in particular...

If you start getting feelings of depression, it might be a good idea to take a break. Seriously.

Taking a small break of 2-4 weeks will do wonders. I just had a forced Elements vacation of about 30 days myself, and it was a good way to charge those batteries.

With any luck, there will even be new cards in the game when you come back. :)

Team :gravity loves you TII.  I'm sure there are plenty of others too.

Hated community members are people like rotface who are dishonest or cheat, you are neither.  Quite the opposite, you are a very skilled and active player.  You have to learn in life that not everyone gets along with everyone else sometimes.
