I think I came back around September or October to the community after about six months or so. I was never really too active before, but since I started becoming more active I've really been able to see what this community has to offer, especially one thing: friendship. Despite having a life outside of this, being able to come to chat every day and talk with everyone is so fun and I can't thank everyone enough for their kindness and generosity for welcoming me back in so easily. When I first started out with the community I met a kind man by the name of
DesertKnight (you all know him). He gave me an overlook of what the the world of EtG is really about and how many opportunities it has to offer. He introduced me to tournament play, events, and the separate areas of the forums. I liked to call him 'master,' but he wasn't really a fan
After missing a month or so, I came back to find that the Mentor Program was in development. They needed someone to test it with, so I joined
This is when I met numbers (927). He even further helped out with everything around the forums and the new things like the card creator and format. I remember making my first card with him. It was good time hehe (feeling nostalgic :3). I graduated first of my class, yay! :3 But to no avail, I left again for the summer. I would come back for my oracle spin each day, but other than that I was never in chat or on the forums. I dunno what it was, but I never felt like I fit at the skill level of everyone else. I later realized I should have never worried about that at all.
When I came back to chat the first person to introduce himself was
ralouf1. Ralfy helped me out a ton getting back into the forums once again (I gotta stop leaving). It was so nice to know there was somebody I could look forward to talking to on chat every day when I came on. A big thank you to all he's done and helped with over time! I can't help but thank him for making me do Budokan as well. Introducing me to PvP was wonderful and I'm so glad I'm taking part in it. Quality friend~
Speaking of quality friends -
Jenkar. Even though I think he might be using me as a slave for arts, he's been really helpful on my journey to become a better player. I appreciate all the times he's helped me with Budo or with general questions I have over the forums and chat.
To everyone else: thanks for leading me in the right direction all this time. It's been a pleasure and I look forward to learning more and more every day!
