I don't really have a favorite type, specifically. I like basically all of them. Although I do have some preferences, in no partiicular order:
Flying: first flying pokemon you run into is always on my team until the end and I grow to have them be one of my favorites.
Grass: The starting pokemon. I almost always chose grass as my starter, and thus came to love each of the grass starters.
Water: Gyrados. Hands down one of the coolest most awesomest pokemon around. Otherwise, I'm not a huge fan of water types aside from one here and there.
Fire: Vulpix/Ninetails. Easily my favorite fire type, and possibly my favorite pokemon period. Magmar+evo is a graet one too, and super powerful. Charmander+evo is great also, I personally love Charmeleon the best of the three evos. But I find myself always getting a Ponyta/Rapidash too, although they are never realy that useful for me. I also really love Growlith/Arcanine, but it's usually get the version with vulpix, or growlith, and i love vulpix more.
Psychic: Psychic is great, and powerful. Jirachi currently is my team psychic. no I take that back, Mew currently is, as I'm training it right now. Alakazam has always been one of my favorite Psychic types ever since I first really learned about him from the small Sabrina saga in the original pokemon series.
Dragon: Love dragons, period, so I really like this type. Dragonaire is my favorite dragon pokemon. Most times I don't let it evolve into Dragonite since I don't really care for it. But I do like most of the dragon types.
Dark: Dark is pretty alright. I like a few from here. Sneasel is cool.
That about does it for what I really like. Electric would probably bottom out that list, but I only use one to round out my team for the most part.
However, my favorite pokemon is Eevee. That's why i chose the Normal type as my favorite for the poll. I love Eevee dearly and it's evolutions. I beat my Platinum version's elite for with 6 diffferent evos of Eevee. It was awesome
