I finished playing a stickman game on this website and decided to try a new game. I went to the home page and decided to try out 'Card Games' because the preview picture looked cool. When the page loaded, (I was using the Dial-up of our old computer - us kids weren't allowed on the new 'work' one yet) I scrolled down to find the picture. It turned out it was from a game called 'Elements', which I though sounded pretty cool as I was in that fantasy-phase (still am
). so I clicked it, and made an account, etc. When it came to the Element section, I looked through them all and chose
. (I can't remember my reasoning) I did the first few quests, taking out at least half the pillars in my deck, thinking 'I don't need too many of these' (for a full account of what my brain went through, check out
www.youtube.com/AnneleElementsWiz). After a bit of playing, I decided I liked it, and noted the name of the game in my head. I did not like playing on the host site, so the next time I went on the computer I googled 'Elements' and clicked the second option. I came to what is the main site of Elements, and have played there ever since.
As my game didn't save, I started again with Gravity, which I hated because of its slow damage and small defense. I quickly reset again, this time with Time (because it was the opposite of Aether), and then a couple more times, but I can't remember to what.
Fast forward a couple of years of playing on and off (and failing) until early last year, when I tried PvP 1 and found a deck only containing pillars, ghosts and nightmares. I asked the opponent, and I quote, "Does your deck only have Ghost of the Pasts, Nightmares and pillars?" the reply was "basically". From this, I sold all the cards of my second account and made my first deck with a strategy, a ghostmare. I was shocked that I was able to actually beat level 3, and even sometimes level 4! I started a new account and tried to make other strategies based on the Level 3 decks. I didn't like the lack of PC in my decks, so I googled for all the PC cards to help me. I came across none other than Xeno's PC and PP card idea series. I was hypnotised. I'd go to one card idea thread, read the whole thing, and hope I'd be lead to another thread in it. I wanted to comment on a card once, but found I had to have an account. I tried to make one, and found I had to be 13. Boy, that was a long wait.
I realised I could look at card ideas from the Card Idea and Art board, and made my way looking through that, sometimes even formulating my replies before moving on to the next. I think I got up to about page 60-something.
Then, on my 13th birthday, I finally made an account. I also made an account on Facebook, but I rarely used that and more often I spent time on my new laptop in the forum, mainly making cards and commenting on others'. I now cringe at the sucky-upy way I phrased comments.
The rest is history.
Do I win the competition of longest backstory?
