I'm 2-0 with 2 EMs using a bit more ups.  It's worth noting that because I'm upping my staff I get his hp down pretty low before he decks, so there might be a faster way to get the job done but I'll be using this deck going forward.  Thanks Higs.

Go back a few pages to see some decks that used no shards for trying to deck out octane.

I don't see much proof/testing to see that they work, and the decks seem kind of fragile. Considering Octane's amount of control, a deck without enchant artifact or quintessence seems very much luck-based.

Only 4 splosions, so if you can lure them into pillars, you're good.

Not an EM deck, but it works!
There was a point where I had 3 antimatters, and no quintessences. He was about to kill me, drew a heal. RNG loves me ^^
