Oracle : Octane

I used the first deck in OP, then lost, because I had only one pendulum in my starting hand, and that got blown up right away.

I used this half-upped, and it was total pwnage.  Even with one pendulum in opening hand, I roflstomped Octane.

I played this deck fully upped (even the mirror shields). It is great for EM. Though, Octane had some air quanta problem, and never played a shield. I had explosion in hand anyway.

Same deck, Phoenixes and Golems in last 5 cards! I mean... really? Had a chrysoara pet from oracle wich managed to get two poison on before getting sniped (had no quint at the time). I obviously decked out.

Octane is a good candidate for 500HP EM'ing if you just add some Mirror Shields. Tried it twice, lost the first one to unnecessary risk-taking but got the second one very easily with a 462HP EM. The basic list shouldn't be too hard to find, I think I picked up mine from the Oracle: Jezebel thread. Here's how I ran it, suited to my card pool:

Tried the aforementioned Immortal with unupped pends, one more light pillar, all Mirror Shields and 5 SoD's. I was worried I wouldn't get fast enough, but luckily I drew all my SoD's. Was an easy EM at 402 HP because 2-3 of my Stone Skins were hiding in the last 5 cards or so. I'm bringing six SoD's next time.

Used this today and I got away with 1 HP a time or two. Very close match but in the end I made it. No EM though....

I actually forgot to change the deck after and had a much easier win vs DG aswell (with 0 cards left in deck though). No EM either!

It seems to me that a couple of creatures should be added to the 500 HP EM deck, for the same reasons as in the normal one.

2 turns away from winning with the mono earth (2 dragons upped). I had no BBs in my first 12 cards and he got a second turn EE, so I can see that the deck would work most of the time.

Also EM'ed him a couple weeks ago with the entropy/light stall. Not much different from the life variant, and I missed the adrenaline sound effect

So I spent 1500 electrum on smuglapse's deck (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7347.0.html) and I got trounced.

Not a single antimatter or heal. Just a crap load of pillars.
This was my second oracle to false god attempt and both have failed. First one being against Miracle where despite having a 30 card deck, and 6 phase shields, I did not draw a single one in the first 10 cards. *le sigh*

The Octane deck is known for being incredibly reliable; you were incredibly unlucky.

Definitely not a crack at the deck set-up, if I get Octane again I will try it again and hopefully pull out better results.

It just amazes me how unlucky I am sometimes when it really counts X_x
